About the Project
I started this as a Christmas Holiday Project but it trailed off as the year picked up, time to get it finished before the mid year holidays so I can game with it. This is the Scots Covenanter Set, I plan to also add the Montrose Box. Between those two I will have everything I need for those particular battles. The next step will be the main Pike and Shot Starter Set. I knew absolutely nothing about this period when I bought this kit but thanks to the friend who convinced me to get it and some independent reading I'm learning a lot. It's a great example of historical wargaming driving historical knowledge.

Something Different: The Ministers Regiment
Sir Arthur Erskine of Scotscraig’s Regiment of Foot was raised by the Presbyterian Clergy of the Kirk at their own expense, this we know is true. There are multiple stories of ministers supplying the regiment with old clerical garments but it’s not know for sure either way. There is some conflict about whether or not they actually wore these as uniforms but the wargaming community seems to have accepted it as true and it’s cool so I painted up a black coated ‘Ministers Regiment’.
