About the Project

I had pre ordered this when it came out and assembled the miniatures from the box, primed them and then put them away. I thought now would be a good time to paint them up, I haven't painted anything historical before so if the colours are wrong please be gentle.

I picked this up at Salute in 2023, a very nice kit. The parts aren’t numbered and you only have pictures to go on in the instructions and I had a piece left over but I couldn’t work out where is goes and nothing seem to be missing to me.

I picked these up at this years salute and painted them up, I don’t know if they are the right colours but I am happy with them. These are just for some scenery on the table and the plan is to build a sandbag emplacement for the gun.

The ends in sight (or at least I thought it was)

I picked this up at salute this year with an eye on incorporating it into 02 hundred hours and I thought this would be the end of the of project once it was painted.

However once I was nearly done (just the road signs to go) I found some extra boxes from the 02 hundred hours launch bundle. Namely the Guards of facility 9 and Operation Torchlight boxes, so still some way to go.

Sandbags and signs

I’ve finished the set from Sarissa but I need to put something on the signs but I am not sure what at the moment.

While at UKGE I picked up some more farm buildings from micro arts studio, I’ve included pictures of interiors but only one of them has the ruined base.

I also made possibly the worlds most expensive sandbags, two packs of green stuff to make these and I still think they are too short. I may add a couple of layers to them.

I’ve included a picture of the interior of the church for Gerry, it doesn’t have the ruined base that some of the other Micro arts studio buildings have.

These are last of the miniatures from the additional boxes painted as before, just the sandbags left to paint now.

So I’ve finished the sandbags and I added a couple of rows to give me the height I wanted. I made them by following this video:
https://youtu.be/TbnpHeWrS84?si=D1zWPVyxw2ez9VUC

This is basically roll out a 7mm sausage and then flatten to 10mm (this was marked on the masking tape) and then cut into 15mm lengths. I then used the braided wire on this airbrush cleaning tool to give me some stitching down the side and ends.

Now they are all painted up they will make nice objectives for the game.
