After oil wash I gave the grey a small drybrush, then used some weathering powders and some rust oil paints and a bit of a silver sponge.

Now to varnish and then too add some blood effect.

So after a black then silver undercoat, I painted the rockcrete grey. Then painted a bit of drown dirt and some small details like a skull and some pipes. Then gave it an all over dry brush and a couple of colours of sponging to give it a rust effect.

O also painted the signs yellow and used some old decals.

Now to oilwash and pigment powder.

5th session on working on this fighting pit. Just did some texturing.

So took some Rhinolite(wall plaster) mixed it with water and woodglue(coldglue) and smeared it on the “rockcrete” areas. Once dry I did another pass with woodglue and water to seal it all.

After that I added some sand, a skull(it is the 40k universe) and a broken chainsword.

Going to the big club in JHB tonight to grab some more gubbins and barb wire. So hoping to get this painted up asap.

Forth day working on this project. Got the bar all riveted, built 2 doors and added some GW plastic bits to the sides.

Next job is to build up the “walls” a bit where I took off too much mdf. Then texture the mdf to look more like rockcrete.  And after that I got to add maybe some electrical fence signs and Barbed wire.

Then to paint and grunge it up.

Managed to nail down most of the basic structure and the container door (for beasties).

Now I have to start on the fighters doors and rivet the bar.

Also managed to find some Sealing wire in large quantities. So the JHB club has bought that, now waiting to get some of that to use as barb wire on the top of the fence.

Speaking of fence, it’s made from a BBQ veg grill mat. You put it on your BBQ grill and your veg doesn’t fall through. Surprised I found this in South Africa, when we Braai(bbq) we clarify chicken as veg and anything under 1/2KG of meat as kids portions…no veg to be seen.
