About the Project

I want to play a Christmas themed game during the holidays. I need some small terrain pieces to fill out the table as I'm going to using the One Page Rules fantasy skirmish rules. Hopefully by the end of this I will have a Christmas village taking Elf as my innspiration.

I need a building or two to represent Santa’s workshops. I’ve had this laying around for a fair few years and think they will be suitable. Need to watch some YouTube on how to put them together.

I’ve also been experimenting with some cheap lampost decorations I picked up using Liquid Frost.

This is a better picture of all three pieces. They are going to be impassable terrain.

I think that’s finished for now. Still pondering running a coat of white contrast over the white to give the snow a little definition. Is that a waste of paint?

The candy canes are super glued in and a layer of sand pva’d to the base. Going to slap a couple of coats of white paint over that.

Santa Claus is comin' to town

Unfortunately the 3 C’s got in the way of me finishing this before Christmas. Covid, Children and Christmas itself.

Anyway I wanted to make a candy cane forest. I bought some largish MDF bases of Ebay and spent an afternoon drilling holes in them.

I also bought some very cheap Christmas decorations from China to create the candy cane trees.

I need some snow drifts. I bought these little hills a while ago hoping they would be whiter rather than sandy.  Time for a simple job to snowify them.
