Yep – there will be a few updates together as I didn’t quite find the time to sort the uploads/take photos and had quite underestimated the”speed” element of speed paints!

First after the white spray was a wash of bone over the armour –  I found that it was one and done, if I tried to go over before it had dried it gave smears. But for a first step I was pretty happy!

I’ve had my eye on speed paints for a long time and while at salute I took the plunge and bought some! I’ve heard all sorts of things about contrast/speed paints over the last few years but hadn’t gone further than grabbing a contrast black to try on a desert diorama – it looked black on the little bits I painted so I figured either I’d done it wrong or it was not the right paint for me.

Back to the present I was itching to give my new set a go so scanned the room of doom for a suitable abandoned project – Squats. I’d bought the necromunda squat prospectors and lost motivation after the first couple of bits of paint left me uninspired.

So – bam – re-undercoat white and challenged myself to try every paint in the starter.

In the process chucked in a d&d elf I found lying around to see the effect on a different mini.
