About the Project

Dead By Lead. Dead Man's Hand Redux. Fistful of Lead: Reloaded. OK, Gerry. You win. Having bought the Reaper Miniatures Cowboys & Gunslingers a couple of years ago I needed a reason to paint them. Dead By Lead gave me that excuse. Terrainfest 2023 gave me the reason to build the town on Pitchstone. But this town ain't big enough for the both of us. Because these are skirmish games on 3ft x 3ft tables. Having two full size people in a town that size would be ridiculous.

Next up I am painting some small, people shaped terrain… OK, fine I’m procrastinating and instead of doing a crap job of painting buildings I am doing a crap job of painting cowboys and a cowgirl. Bonus internet points if people can name the characters from popular westerns who I am launching paint in the general direction of. Each of the buildings is now base coated with rattle cans. Next I plan to weather then use paint pens to finish the store signs and add some accent colours. OK, so I didn't buy it all but I did buy too much for what I need. But anyway, after a week of building, roughly 400 X-Acto blades, and destroying all the nerves endings in my fingertips, I have built the town. I decided to go with the Pitchstone Town collection from TTCombat to have lots of options for reconfiguring the table while still having usable terrain.I decided to go with the Pitchstone Town collection from TTCombat to have lots of options for reconfiguring the table while still having usable terrain.
I got most, but not all, of the town shipped from the UK to Texas and started building.I got most, but not all, of the town shipped from the UK to Texas and started building.
