About the Project

For a long time I have been sat on two boxes of Perry's Wars of the Roses Infantry. I think they were free with a magazine subscription. I want two late medieval armies to battle it out. Nothing historically accurate just lots of tiny fighting men.

Heavy Infantry

I put together 12 of these last night. Again will be 6 red, 6 blue. I’m hoping after settling on the paints for the archers I might be quicker with these. Probably not though.

Archers

The first groups of archers are finished. I’m going to complete the bases in bulk once I have completed painting both armies.

Usual stuff

I’ve splashed Strong Tone all over them. Will then paint base colour back  over the top and a bit of a highlight if I can be bothered.

This week I mostly have been painting blue

I have based up the first six red force archers. I will now do the same for the blues

The Archers

I’ve spent the last few nights putting together 12 archers. These will be my tests  My colour schemes are going to be based on the colours from football’s greatest rivalry- the red and white of Bristol City and Blue and white of Bristol Rovers..

Not theseNot these

I want my minis individually based because at some point I might  want to use One Page Rules Skirmish with them . So I have ordered some cheap and cheerful 25mm bases off the internet
