Battle droid!
Nishimura produces two patterns of the Jackal, a heavily armored battle droid. NX-JK2 “Anubis” is equipped with a long-range and powerful pulse weapon and shield, which is used in melee combat.
Next on the painting table, An Anubis pattern battle droid.
I originally posed it differently but didn’t like the way it stood so adjusted the legs a bit.
Colours for the painting –
Armour was Sacle 85 remove mana with Valejo bloody red bits.
Powered shield was blue ink over white.
The osl was Valejo Ultra marine blue mixed with white in varying degrees depending on the surface.
One high contrast image because I think it makes the osl look cool.
Tetsui
Tetsui is a woman, whose plight forced her to become a corporation head’s puppet. Boundless devotion to the patron and hatred for human beings made her and her mechanical pack a perfect problem-solving tool. Machines cannot be intimidated or bribed. Flesh of steel knows no mercy.
The leader seemed like a good place to start.
Lots of parts with the mini but very easy to fit together.
The little drone, I thought had a flight stand that was a little too thick so I replaced it with a 1mm fibreglass rod.
I primed with grey and used a few layers of Scale 75 remove mana instant paint on the armour.
I picked up some of the details of the mini with a scarlet red.
The skin was Bugman glow, Cadian flesh, Reiksguard flesh shade.
The dreadlocks were based in white, with red, blue and green inks applied afterwards.
I added a holographic paint to the visor and base as well as some osl on the base and drone.
Some finished pics.
Introduction
So,
I picked up a copy of Gamma Wolves and was looking for some nice minis to use as my frames.
I remember seeing Gerry do an unboxing of The Nishimura corp, A faction in The Hydrophilia wargame by Artel W.
I thought they looked brilliant and would be great for use as light and medium frames in Gamma Wolves.
I ordered the Nishimura starter box plus one extra mech for the same faction.
Now, I did have to order from Russia so had to wait about 3 weeks for delivery which I thought was quite good.
This stuff came with a wax seal!
Assembly and painting to follow.
