Gerry was right - Bronze helmets
Gerry “the Squirrel Overlord” @avernos is always right, fixed the helmets and tidied up the chainmail
Retributor Armour for the Bronze and Boltgun Metal for the chainmail
Adding a bit of colour - Contrast Blood Angels Red
Adding a bit of colour – Contrast Blood Angels Red for the Cloaks and tunics
Still just blocking in colour, need to clean up any over painting, then a soft tone wash and Flesh wash
Horsie bois - Chainmail and Leather work a la GW's boltgun Metal and Contrast Snakebite Leather
Blocking in the armour and leather working, using GW’s fantastic Boltgun Metal (coz it’s a nice metal) and the excellent Snakebite leather contrast coz I’m a lazy git and it looks really cool
Next up, contrast Blood Angels Red for fabrics and Retributor Armour for a bit of bling. Then hitting them up with some washes
move work on cavalry/horsie bois - working on the skin
Using MSP Tanned Skin, love this paint, part of the MSP Tanned Skin Triad

Starting the lads to ride the horsies
Going to stick with Halfords white matt primer, the Grey is too dark and everything looks muddy seeing as contrast paints are my new shiny toy
But I am using Reaper MSP tanned skin for the flesh (love their triad sets), need to get more but it’s all sold out – BALLS!

Peltasts, Slingers and archers with cool hats, some blocking in colour
Primed these and all the rest with Halfords white primer (can never get Wraithbone any time i’ve been up north OTT @lloyd has hogged all the Wraithbone 😉 😉 ), normally use Halfords Grey with a white zenithal but as these all have a lot of exposed flesh the grey is too dark and makes them look muddy as can be seen in the early Romans
