About the Project

I brought a resin printer last year but only dabbled in building a couple of items then it was filed away in the shed! I have always loved the age of sail, Black seas rekindled my hobby and several boxes later I had a couple of fleets. But a recent Gilded Sails kickstarter for digital prints of ships of the Anglo Dutch wars of 1650's to 90's has sparked me to get the printer out!

First time doing anything like this! How did I get these prints?

I set the printer up in the dining room on a side unit. I printed overnight as the print time was 7 hours.

Well the first time of using I printed a roman camp defence works. They came out ok but as you can see on the picture below the print on the left has a slight wobble.

I discovered that the printer was in a location that experienced a lower temperature in the night!

Moving the printer to a more temperature stable environment resulted in a better print shown on the right.
