World War 20mm – A Battlegroup Endless Project

First up, a new ETO44 German platoon leader, using one of the figures from the new DAK Officers pack from AB Figures.

Gives the guy a nice veteran look using the DAK model and painting him up for Europe…

• Next was a quick attempt at the brown/green version of the amoeba camouflage suit on two AB Soviet snipers…

A few more AB DAK… the new command set and a converted radio operator and spotter base.

The Radio Operator was an MG Loader who was given a radio and new webbing equipment, while the spotter was given a new head and an MP40.

Some more Germans, can be for various places from Africa to OZAK.

All converted from the AB Figures winter German range by changing heads to plain helmets or soft caps.

Another AB winter conversion… this time a German wearing a Ushanka fur hat…

…and all the Winter German infantry done!

Started converting AB Winter Germans into DAK troops who wore the tropical greatcoat.

First a sniper conversion…

Some of the PSC Soviets, done up to go with my Winter Russians to add a bit of variety…

Finally emptied the little storage compartment for Summer 44 German infantry with these last three…

…thats all the infantry I have done now for the Summer 44 Germans, so need to have a think where to go next.

One last Winter Waffen-SS sniper to add to the cold Germans…

A few more bits done to add to my Winter US Army…

81mm Mortar Team and a Loader Team marker with Forward Observer team.

The Germans so far for the Summer 44 forces… done for Normandy and the upcoming BG Bagration book!

Next up for the ‘Summer 44’ Germans is an 8cm Granatwerfer Battery complete with Forward Observer team and two Loader Team markers for use in Battlegroup.

Next up for the project, a new Communications Team for Battlegroup using two AB Figures from their DAK range…

Part of this year will be a revival of my Normandy stuff in a group project with some friends.

My first squad for this year is just finished- AB Germans of course!
