UK Games Expo 2024: Live Blog

Welcome back to UKGE 2024!  It is the second day of the show and Ben is here to show us around the floor of hall two.

Instead of making whiskey in Distilled, this time the team over at Paverson Games have come up with a new game where you make musical instruments for some of histories greatest musicians.  Keep your patrons happy by making the best instruments you can otherwise your patrons will turn on you and they are not going to be happy.  check out Paverson Games here.

We have a chat with the creator of Cosmara RPG about how the game came to be and a little bit about the story and how it plays.  After 25 years of running the RPG for friends and family Michael finally turned it into a book available to buy at UKGE 2024!  Check out Cosmara RPG here.

If you’re passionate about hedgehogs and you want to dive into a game all about them then you can’t go too far wrong with Diary Of A Lincoln Geek’s Hedgehog Haven. The game is in the final stages of art production and will be coming to crowdfunding soon. It looks cute and awesome!

If you’re into your Viking warfare and like a good head-to-head game, why not try the very tactile Bord from Turnabout Games? It started out life as a handmade product and now is going BIG with more versions of it for you to check out here at the show.

If you’re a fan of the likes of Gloomhaven and Frosthaven then you might want to check out Rove which is currently crowdfunding and offers up their unique take on a classic adventure game. With incredibly easy set-up and some stunning artwork PLUS a great story, there is a lot to like about Rove.

We dive into a look at Havocville which is a fantastic game of gods and the destruction that they cause. As you might imagine, the ways that the gods play with lives has an effect on hummanity!

We have a talk with the creators of Flabbergasted! a comedic roleplaying game set in the roaring 20’s.  An RPG based on a system created by The Wanderer’s Tome sees adventurers cause mischief and mayhem in the heart of the town of Peccadillo!

GGG Games have come to UKGE with Shape Invaders a dexterity game where you and another player battle to take over the galaxy by knocking each others fleets off the board using your own fleet!  Check out the Shape Invaders website here.

We got to chat with the creator behind the Pick Your Path Adventures books who has a fair few from different genres for you to dive into. The books are great for those who like the classic Fighting Fantasy books and want something different. Perfect perhaps for those attending UKGE and wanting some downtime at the bar later.

We got to talk to Philip from Rebellion Unplugged about their awesome expansions to the destruction derby that is Joyride. Joyride is part racing game and part wreck-fest. It has been developing and expanding since it’s initial release with more exciting options.
