Stream Catch Up - Space Worm
Justin is joined by Rose from ITB Board Games with Space Worm, designed by Reiner Knizia.
While some of our younger audiences may not remember the golden era of the 3310 mobile phones with their highly popular Snake game, this may come as quite a surprise that it’s very tactical and fun to roll and write your way across this arcade themed game by Reiner Knizia.
Don’t slither too fast or you may crash!
Stream Catch Up - Deneb
Ryan is joined by one of our own awesome community members of OnTableTop, DaveHawes is talking about his tactical miniature game, Deneb.
Click here to check out the Deneb Project here
- The key mechanics are around choice rather than randomness. A game of Deneb has at most, two coin-tosses for random elements, and everything else is down to player choice.
- It’s a skirmish-like game, but it uses tiles (which have built-in rules for elevation and other terrain effects) to build a grid for gameplay, and all movement and measurement is tile based.
- It’s quick to play, with the smallest size games taking 30-60 mins, and the biggest 60-90 mins.
From something that has started on our very own website using the projects system we’re highly excited to see what happens with Deneb and we hope to see Dave back again in the future with the success of his hobby!

Stream Catch Up - White Wizard Games
Rob has landed in the streaming room with Ryan to talk about their awesome card game Epic, from White Wizard Games.
While Epic gives you the full trading card game experience at a tiny fraction of the cost, Epic is NOT a trading card game. There are no random packs or hard-to-get cards. When you buy the game, you get everything you need to play. You know exactly what cards you’re getting.
Are you ready for a new and improved card game?
Stream Catch-Up - Redwell Games
Ryan is joined by Tom from Red Well games at UK Games Expo 2019.
Six Gun Showdown is a quick 2 player game of shootouts in the Wild West. The game takes 5-10 minutes to play for ages 9+. It combines strategy, memory and a dexterity element, like a “quick-draw” that serves to generate tension and guides the players to read their opponent’s actions, really immersing them into the feeling of being in a shootout.
With a quick draw at your side can you keep to speed with Tom from Red Well Games.
Is that a revolver in your pocket or are you excited by UKGE coverage?
Stream Catch Up - Square Enix
Ryan is joined by Tim from Square Enix and we’ve had to chain him down to control his emotions over Final Fantasy.
The Final Fantasy board games are relishing among the fans at UK Games Expo this year. The beautiful Chocobos have been part of many childhood attendees at the event this year and like most of us, will find gentle references in their board games from the video games made by Square Enix too.

Homebrewers is an excellent resource management game about creating your own beers inside your own brewery, if you’re looking for a heavier Euro style game to play while you’re attending your favourite beer festival, this is the game for you… BURPP!
Medium, on the other hand is a perfect way to get to understand your friends and family. Delve deep into the minds of your opponent to relate the best way you can to find the medium word between two others. If I suggested Koala and Chocolate, what would you say?

Stream Catch Up - Newspeak
Justin is joined by Rose at UK Games Expo to talk about ITB Board Games newest game, Newspeak.
In the not-too-distant future, Britain is a high-tech paradise. The world seems perfect, thanks to the security app ‘ModNet,’ which identifies undesirable locations and Moderates them. Moderated Locations appear idyllic by manipulating the augmented reality eyeware virtually everyone now wears.
A small group of Dissidents seeks to challenge ModNet’s hold on society. Attempting to evade Moderators’ notice, they swap coded messages, planning to hack into location display settings and reveal the world for what it is.
Are you ready to challenge the Dragons?
