Just enjoyed my first demo of the expo playing CGE’s Sanctum. Wonderfully intuitive fantasy adventure with a wealth of choices around your hero’s progression and an unexpected push your luck element. Fast paced, quick moving and really accessible

Andrew Girdwood Of Geek NatiVE Introduces Runelords

Drama at the airport meant that the Runelords board game didn’t make it to UKGE for the start of the preview. There must have been a concern whether there would be anything to show of the game based of the David Farland novels for any of the show at all.

Fortunately, the board game is now in the building at UKGE, along with the impressive Tabletop Simulator version of it that’ll be shown to the public alongside the Kickstarter planned for later this year.

The Menace Among Us, with it’s 18 unique roles and options for bluffing seems like it has just enough spark to stand out in the crowded semi-coop traitor game space. We’re excited to try it out

Bits & Pieces aims the parts of games we find most fun whether that’s why the junk pile in Arctic Scavengers is so brilliant or just how many miniatures is too many miniatures?

Pear Of Geeks Talk About Their Day So Far

We saw a huge dragon head over at The Ultimate Games Master, and in a small side booth, we found a huge dragon skull. But breaking news, the Wotan Games bus this year has been replaced! And they’re selling a card game solution for Brexit…

We’re an RPG chat & advise show, and hosts of the yearly ConPlus online charity convention which this year is trying to raise £5000 for The Butterfly Project; a small charity operating in Uganda to bring board games and roleplaying games to some of the most underprivileged children in the world.

Geek Native Introduce EN Publishing's New Judge Dredd And The World Of 2000AD Supplement Luna-1

EN Publishing launched their Judge Dredd & The Worlds of 2000 AD supplement Luna-1 at UKGE. They had sold half their copies in the first hour of trade and so look likely to sell out completely.

CHECK Geek Native HERE

Luna-1 is a supplement in the Judge Dredd side of the 2000 AD license. Strontium Dog and Rogue Trooper RPGs have been announced and are in production.

Working with Rebellion, the British company that owns the 2000 AD franchise, is said to be going well for EN Publishing.

Geek Natives Review UKGE Launch Of Thing From The Flood RPG And Alien RPG

Swedish RPG superstar publishers are using UKGE to officially launch the Things from the Flood RPG.

If you’re a Kickstarter backer, like this blogger, you’ll have had your copies in either crisp PDF or glorious hardback for a while now, but from today onwards other people can buy their own.

Things from the Flood is the sequel to the hugely popular Tales from the Loop RPG. Not heard of Loop? Think Stranger Things with household mecha. In fact, the original artbook which inspired the game may well have been an inspiration to Netflix’s hit show as well.

Geek Natives Review UKGE Launch Of Thing From The Flood RPG And Alien RPG

Free League are on a wave right now and their latest game license might just eclipse everything that’s come before. They’ve the Alien RPG license. Yes, that Alien. The xenomorph. The RPG, on pre-order now, has two ways to play; cinematic (you’re all going to die) and campaign (you’ll live long enough to level a character).

Geek Native Talk Barpig

It’s easy to spy the BARPIG stand here at UKGE. It looks great, it is surrounded by curious people, and the drinking inspired game was selling well.

The team behind BARPIG have just now announced BARPIG: After Hours which is both a sequel and a standalone game.

In BARPIG: After Hours you’re still a pig, and you’re still drinking, and you’ll have to manage not getting drunk with trips to the market and all the usual challenges, but this version of the game is a little less bubbly and a little darker. It deals with the less savoury pigs.

I’ve overheard a few pitches from license buyers and distributors to the BARPIG team at UKGE in these last few days, and if that isn’t a shortcut of a way to identify one of the hottest ticket items in the Expo, then I don’t know what is.

Fantastic, once again I remain massively disapointed that I can never attend anything even close to this cool here in Australia

Id like to see a look at some of the indie game sections, so the one/two man bands showing their games and get them some wider coverage on this platform.

Be great to have you guys do a bit of boosting the companies that don’t get any press really – help us to uncover some gems please, preferably before sunday so i can go buy any lol.

Just catching up on the content from yesterday I missed when at work.

I remember when tabletop games were a niche for ‘social misfits’. Today, there is this massive event over 3 days, with global franchises like Alien having licensed games being announced.

It never ceases to amaze me how this hobby has grown. I started out buying white dwarf, the one that covered dungeons and dragons andfeatured hand drawn black and white covers, and now we get all this.

Thanks to everyone involved for the hard work that brought all this coverage.
