Gen Con 2016 Live Blog: Day Two!

Beautiful art always stops me in my tracks, so it's no wonder I was drawn to AKA-Games. They are showing off their post apocalyptic RPG set in Japan as well as a Sci-Fi RPG in outer space. Both are beautifully illustrated. I'd totally walk off with Shayour, but their hard cover is only in French at the moment. They are talking the project to KS in September to fund translation and reprint.

Dr. Who goodies are in full effect as always at Gen Con. Whether it's games, tee shirts, action figures, belts, calendars...oh you get the idea- lol- the sky'so the limit.

Saloon Tycoon from Van Ryder Games looks like an absolute blast. It's a fast and fun board/card game, themed in the wild west. I was really impressed with their creative use of stacking the 2D pieces to create some 3D terrain on the board.

Holy cow! Look at the cool terrain you can build with the Silicon Molds from Castle Molds. Castes, dungeons, bridges, trenches...you name it!

The Fantasy Flight Games Retail Area is one of the busiest areas each Gen Con, and rightfully so. If you're one that wants the instant gratification and the ginormous shopping bag that comes with your purchase, then it's worth the wait in line. I HAD to get the new Mansions of Madness game, so I took my lumps and waited in line & took pics inside so you could see what the fuss was about.

Fat Dragon has a great assortment of terrain to set the perfect scene on your tables. They offer both papercraft terrain kits and modular resin kits and they both look amazing! At a quick glance, you can't even tell that some of those sets are paper!

Gale Force Nine has loads of attention on Star Trek Ascendancy here at the con. The demo tables have been full non-stop. They also have added vinyl play mats as an add on purchase to really help create the sense of being in space. We picked up our preorders last night and can't wait to Crack it open and have a go.

You can tell the weekend is here as the cosplayers had a much bigger presence today. From pop culture to fairytales, there's lots of smiles and photo ops.

The Mayfair Games section is not only loaded with games, it's full of Catan and gamers that love to play it. There's literally a version of Catan for every taste.

Spartan Games had loads of goodies on the shelves to show off. We'll have to try to find their demo tables over the next couple days to get more Halo pics.
