Blogging At This Event:
Great Hall Burning - 28mm Viking Game
It is peaceful in the village, smoke curls lazily into the air as a cock crows to announce the rising sun. People are rising and beginning preparations for their break of fast. The baker is hawking freshly baked loaves on a trya as the smell of roasting fish fills the daub stockade.
The still of the morning is suddenly rudely broken by a fearsome cry which echoes from the overhanging crags like a portent of doom, the voice of Thor come to herald Death. The villages, pause for a moment, caught off guard by the unexpected din and surprised at the direction the cry originated, then, as the skirl of a battle horn rises from the encroaching forest, they break and run for their houses, to arm themselves and prepare, belatedly and too late to mount an effective defence, to fight for their very survival!
Out of the forest bursts a loose knit group of men wielding swords, axes and long spears. They bear down on the stockade fence, throwing iron hooks over the top and pulling it to the ground with a mighty effort. This is the signal for the general attack to begin and warriors pour from the woods to rush into the breach. The villagers have formed a hurried ambush. however, and as the attackers rush through the gap in the perimeter, they fall upon them from the narrow alleys between the buildings!
Will the villagers prevail? Will the attack be a success and the village be plundered, the women carried off and the men slain? The fate cubes are in your hands. Can you lead your force to victory, sending the souls of your enemies to Valhalla whilst you feast, or will this be your Ragnarok?
Who Goes There?
Who goes There?
Do you have a knife? Some rope? Maybe some screws or a piece of scrap metal...
Can you maybe trade for something you need?
Can you combine these items to create a more powerful weapon or more useful aid?
Can you trust the people around you?
Can you escape infection and survive to make it to the Helicopter?
Can you trust the other players?
But the biggest question of all is Who Goes There?
Get Me A Fresh Brain
Congratulations! Huzzah! You have done it! You have graduated form the University of Advanced Anatomy with your Evil Doctorate in Body Building!
As you head home, you cackle in the approved evil chuckle (copyright pending) that you were tutored in and encouraged to develop into your own diabolical chortle. Your head is filled with glorious visions of the havoc you are about to bestow upon the town of your birth, the town which treated you with scorn and which derided your genius.
There are preparations which need to be put in place first, though. As you settle back into life in the depressing little town which you loathe, you put on a mask of propriety, acting as the model citizen. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, your plans progress. You have hired helpers to assist you in your gruesome work, sending them out into the surrounding countryside to gather the parts you need for your masterpiece creation. Good help is hard to find, however, and so it might take a few trips for them to bring you the supplies required.
Finally, though, the glorious night dusks (? is that correct for the opposite to day dawns? Why does a day dawn and a night fall? Why is this such a crappy language?) and you gaze with joy upon the labours of your workers. They have gathered for you the supplies you require, including a torso, arms and legs, and now, finally, a brain! Your work is almost done, and then the fun can begin. The storm which has been brewing for days has finally broken and lightning flashes and thunder peals chase each other across the night sky, illuminating the low hanging, ominous clouds and shattering the peace with the massive percussions.
Hours pass without notice, so absorbed in your work you are, until the distant chiming of the clocktower heralds midnight. You straighten from your work bench with a deep sigh of satisfaction and move to the massive lever protruding from the wall. Bwahahahahahaha! Your triumphant laugh echoes of the stone walls of your underground workshop, the skeletons hanging from manacles on the wall the only witnesses to your mad genius! Waiting patiently, your vigil is rewarded when a lightning bolt strikes the iron conducting rod protruding high above the ruined parapet of your family castle and sends a current rushing through the conduits to charge the capacitors you have labouriously built. You throw the lever, closing the contact points, sparks fly around the room, leaving one of the assistants a smoking pile of ashes. No matter, their work was done. As the smell of ozone and charred flesh fills the room, so too do the strange smells of the being lying on the slab, a curious mixture of charnel house rot, embalming fluid and barbecue.
You wait with mounting apprehension as the seconds tick past, waiting for some indicator of success. Just as you are resigning yourself to the failure of the experiment, pondering the small trickle of smoke from beneath the nails of the creation, you catch your breath, that finger moved! Minutes pass, then another movement, and another, until, almost as if awakening from a long sleep, the creature sits upright, swings it legs of the slab and stands, tearing tubes and cables from itself as it does so. Without pause, the creature lumbers to the door, and through it, smashing the stout oak barrier to splinters as it makes its way out of the laboratory and up the flight of stairs, out of the house and into town. Its rampage continues, destroying buildings and wrecking homes as it continues.
Just when you think you have brought retribution to the town, you realise your monster has encountered another like it, and has engaged in a battle for its unlife! Which will win, your monster or your opponents? Which of you will gain infamy for destroying the town, whilst the other falls into disregard as the hack Mad Doctor they are?

Dark Web
The Russians did it!!!
Are you sure?
Take the role of either a hacker attempting to infiltrate the systems of Evil Corp Pty Ltd or an IT professional attempting to secure the servers from the prying eyes of those who should not have access.
As you get deeper into the servers files, do you push your luck? So you take the information you have or do you try for more. Watch out though, beware security systems which will lock you out of the servers. If you are caught with your fingers in the pie, you will lose all the files you have already mined.
Disruptive scripts, lies and deception are the tools of the IT Counter hackers and it is their task to disrupt the plans of the hackers by any means they have at their disposal.
Log out before you are locked out or lose everything.
And if all else fails, you can always just blame the Russians...
Table Tantrums
The castle is astir! A grand visitation is about to occur, and you have the responsibility to organise a grand banquet for the visiting dignitary. The menus are planned, the food ordered and the guests invited. Now all you have to do is organise where each of the guests is to be seated. Easy. Except, as you draw up your seating plans, you realise there are certain people you must accommodate. Some cannot abide others and must not be seated next to one another, whilst others will take offence if not seated in close proximity to the head table, or even at the table itself. Can you manage this without causing offence and an international incident? Or will your dinner party go pear shaped? The peace of the land relies on you and your management skills. So get organising! The guests will be here soon, no time to waste!

Setting out to explore the island is all you can do, so your adventure of discovery has begun. As you journey through the land and your knowledge and strength grow, so too do your wisdom and courage. Through your travels, you find various animals which can be ridden and form a small party from companions that you find. Together you battle to overcome the challenges set in your path and find a way to restore the honour you have lost through your lifetime of cruelty and greed. But how long do you have?

Dark Art Studios - Monsters in metal
Following on from their success in their initial launch campaign, Dark Art Studios are running a new campaign to fund the casting of their big guys in metal instead of resin.
Owning 3 of these in resin already, makes this an instant back for me. In fact, I backed it before Kicktraq had registered it... came up as Backer 0 lol.
I have been working on one of these models, The Hell Bleeder, which I started whilst watching Hobby Week Live. A fantastic model, it will be an ogre type in amongst my greenskin horde when finished, it has been a joy to paint with a combination of large surfaces and small details giving plenty of scope for painting techniques.
Omenass: Hand of Destiny.
Does half your gaming time get taken up with arguments over who goes first? Or is there a fun game ruined by argument over who is cleaning up? Or do you have a problem with who is going to stay sober to drive home after the games are finished? Whose turn is it to make the coffee? Host the next games night? Go to the toilet? Wellll, apart from that last one (that is a personal choice) your problems are solved!
The Hand of Fate! Hope it only points at you in favourable circumstances! Or your argument is doomed!
And you could use it to play spin the Hand, instead of the bottle. You will spill less...
Trio
Fans of a major video game franchise may recognise the characters represented by these fabulous busts. The painters among them will not want to miss out on these absolutely wonderful, hand sculpted, resin cast miniature busts.
Be really quick, less than a day remains, mea culpa.
The Founders of Gloomhaven
Welcome to Gloomhaven, home of many, melting pot of the races. Your race is, of course, the most important in the city, and it is up to you to lead them in building the greatest parts of the city. Sure, the other races have some nice buildings, but that is just their recognition of your glory and you will use their buildings to increase the stature of your own. You will have to use the influence you have accrued to get some of your projects built, but that is no problem for you, you are the greater race! Of course, no one built a city on their own, so you will have to hire some advisors and trade for the resources you will require. Be aware though, for everything you do, your opponent has a plan in mind to benefit themselves!
Rome wasn't built in a day, but Gloomhaven will be built in a couple of hours. Will you be the most influential race? Or will your rivals outwit and out build you?
Explorers of the North Sea: Rocks of Ruin
Launch the longships! Hoist that sail and get, well, sailing!
Scattered in the narrow channels and island strewn bays of the North Sea are many wrecks, testimony to the strength and ferocity of this past season's storms. Your crew are eager to plunder them for the spoils which are sure to lie amongst the wreckage. However, as you sailed from your home, you noticed grand castles dotting the shoreline, and, whilst the lure of easy scavenging is strong, the bloodlust and the desire for glory and renown is also tearing at you. Will you choose to search the wrecks, salvaging what you can or fight and gain glory throughout all the long halls of the land?
An expansion for the Explorers, itself a game within a larger group of three The North Sea, this includes new tiles, rules and a 5th player option. Set sail now and pick up the loot.
Overworld
You are a traveler in a new land, populated by creatures which have been christened Ummbirds becasue they look like, ummm, birds. Ride your ummbirds across the new land, explore the coast with your ships and when the map is revealed, control the most territory to win!
If it fits it's legit! Specially cut interlocking pieces mean that you can lay a tile if it fits. If not, try a new position...
Goblin Hood 2: Little John
As you run down the narrow cart track away from the site of the ambush, you chuckle to yourself and think it is lucky for you that greenskins are so stupid. You have managed to keep some of your gold stashed in a hidden pocket. You look over your shoulder and your chuckling dies in your throat. Chasing after you are several monks, The Tuck Trolls are on your trail and everybody knows that, like all good religions, they can smell gold from miles away, and will extort it from you any way possible. When they say it will save your soul, they mean they will not eat you (maybe). It is not a problem though, you know you can out run them. But then you see that some of the archers have gained beast mounts, this could mean trouble for your remaining finances.
YOu spur yourself to further efforts as you try to out run the riders, who call themselves Temptation, Until your forward momentum ceases as you run into a mountain which has just materialised in the path of your flight. From your position of the ground, where you were knocked off your feet, you look up, and then up and up and up, until the visage of the Jotnar troll comes into view amongst the tree tops. You have heard rumours of these monstrous beasts from out of the Dwarves At Arms, but you had scarcely credited the rumours, surely nothing this big could exist in the Macrocosm.
You have not got time to pick yourself up before a group of feral trolls creeps into the road towards your supine form. With a sigh of resignation, you surrender to the inevitable and empty every last brass penny onto the ground. The greenies have won this campaign, but there will be others...
Legendary Creatures
Welcome Druid. Can you prevail in the trial? Will you best the other Druids? Can you become the Druid of Natures Grace? You will have to use your creatures wisely if you hope to out maneuver your opponents. You cannot hope to over come their strength without the strength and goodwill of your creatures and the creatures you find and tame along the course of your quest. Find these creatures and powerful relics within the ruins and ancient landmarks of this realm and earn renown among the populace!
Of course, you will have to use your items, spells and amulets wisely as well. Don't get caught without the ability to counter your opponents wicked plans. Remember, each turn of the cycle is 3 rounds, morning, afternoon and evening and when the 3rd Cycle of Turns, or 9 rounds, is complete, you will stand tall as Druid of Natures Grace or face the shattering realisation of failed ambitions.
The Legends of the Fabled Realms
Well, this just keeps getting better. If you have not checked out the Fabled Realms kickstarter yet, get over an take a look at all the great stuff.
The 3rd Incursion is just enormous in value and getting better every day. With the option to choose between 3 sets of terrain, resin upgrade and a heap of terrain and figures, cards and prints, the value of this alone makes it worth backing. But they have not finished yet. Boats are coming!
If you have not watched there tutorials and their live streams, you are missing out. The guys are so enthusiastic it is hard not to be excited, and their passion promises to carry this on to become the NEXT BIG GAME!!!
Huge things are in store, don't miss out and get in on the ground floor of this amazing campaign.
KA101 LARC - Low Altitude Rotor Craft
"I love the smell of a good kickstarter in the morning!" declared Lt Kilgore Duval as he strode through the piles of corpses, enemy combatants and civilians who had been trapped in the kill zone alike, strewn across the landscape like abandoned dolls. In the distance the low buzz of a hovering LARC was occasionally drowned out by the sound of gunfire as this very active campaign continued to be fought.
A civilian transport LARC lifted off from a distant landing pad, ferrying the remainder of the populace, those who had survived the initial assault, out of the invasion zone and to safety. They were allowed to leave unmolested, however, when a military LARC winged in from beyond the horizon, it was immediately intercepted and its fiery explosion left a blazing trail as it fell to the tabletop...
How many of these great LARCS can you use in your Infinity and other games? Got the Thunderchrome set? These would be awesome in the Hanger area. Or hovering over the Hab Blocks, (here's looking at you @seldon9 and @limburger) With the variety of attachments you could kit out a uniform unit or have mutiple individual LARCs.
The Worst Game Ever
Do you hate your family? Are your friends getting stale and need refreshing? Do you want to end up in the emergency room at the local hospital on a regular basis? Then this is the game for you! With the insults and sarcasm flying, when the air is thick enough with tension to cut with a blunt spoon and stress levels are rising to stroke levels, can you keep your blood from boiling for long enough not to lose? Don't draw the You Are Eliminated card without protection. If you do, you are immediately, well, eliminated, obviously, moron.
So how do you not lose? If you lose you don't win, and if you don't lose, you win. Simple really, even an idiot like you should have figured that out/
Of course, the game was brought to us by a wranger, and everybody knows, in the words of the immortal Cartman, "Gingers have no soul!"
Worst game ever links
I suppose you would be wanting the Worst Game ever links. Never satisfied.
Illuminatus - Become the Problem...
Despite suppression and censorship by TPTB, the Illuminatus campaign to spread the truth and reveal the fragile fabric of lies that binds your fragile world view to the Reptilian Overlords ultimate agenda 21 propaganda, spread by the fake news and Operation Mockingbird, forges ahead with nearly 300 hundred individuals willing to put themselves at risk of getting a red spot on their mailbox as the delivery and a personilised visit from the friendly FEMA Reward Team who will take you to a boot camp just to learn how the game plays out in real life.
What ever you do, do not expose your friends and family and enemies to the red pill. They are happy in the dream land created by d-wave computing. Did I already write this or is that the Mandela Effect kicking into play? Whatever. I get confused over on this side of the flat Earth which day it is for anyone else, but there are 3 days left in this campaign. Spread it around like a computer virus, spam your friends and family, and local political party, with the news of the campaign they should never know about.
*The conspiracy theories espoused in this message MAY or may not HAVE TOTALLY FACTUALLY BASED EMPIRICAL HEARSAY AS THEIR FOUNDATION AND THE VERACITY OF THEIR FACTUAL INFORMATION HAS YET TO BE CONFIRMED BY TPTB! DON"T BE A SHEEPLE, LED BY THE NOSE BY FAKE NEWS AND FALSE FLAG EVENTS! HELP TO BECOME A PART OF THE SOLUTION, BY LEARNING WHAT IT IS TO BE A PART OF THE PROBLEM!
This has been a public service announcement which should be ignored by all for your own safety, sanity and sense of security. (Do ya like the alliteration there? Yeah! I'll learn to write one of these days...)
Goblin Hood 2: Little John
After the Tucks and Riders had spun and left you lying amongst the moulds in the damp road, you stumbled a little further before you heard the sound of a gobbo war chariot clattering it way down the track towards you at breakneck speed. Throwing yourself from the roadway, yo manage to avoid being run down as the chariot clatters past at breakneck speed!
Crawling through the leaves of the forest floor, you are hoping you have thrown off the pursuit of the chariot which the greenskins have chased you with for what seems like days, teasing you by getting closer and then dropping off to let you gain some distance, before closing in again. You hear the distant clanking and groaning of the wooden Weed Cart as it lumbers along the road, filled to the brim with gibbering Weedlings, annoying little creatures in small numbers, but in the numbers able to be transported in their cart, overwhelming. It has not quite reached you yet, but it is coming.
This is getting serious, if any more gobbos arrive, you won't be able to afford that drink you so dearly wanted. With night falling, it is doubtful the gates are open anyway. With a sigh of resignation, you start out again, traveling only a short way before hearing a low murmured chant coming from the deep scrub. Cautiously you make your way towards the sound. Peering around a massive tree bole, you see two gnarled old goblin witches stirring and tending their cauldrons, the putrid contents bubbling and boiling somehow, despite the absence of a fire beneath them.
One of the hags suddenly sniffs the air pointing a bony finger your way and screeching in an ear piercing wail. "Moneeeeeee! Monnnnneeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!" as the other witch turns to look at you, you spin around to flee and bump straight into the crew of the chariot which you had hoped to avoid by your torturous trek through the forest, they were closer than you thought...

Burrows and Badgers
Evening draws on and full night is descending in Northymbra. The creatures of the hedgerows and fields are retreating to their nests as the predators leave their lairs and roam the dark countryside, scheming and hunting to catch the unaware off guard.
As they retreat, many old friends are there to greet them. The firelight dances off the walls of the mouse house and rumours abound of new real estate opening up in the woods in the near future.
As evening passes over to night, the monk mouse makes his way into the chapel and prays for safety for all. And to ensure that safety, a new Shrew Knight Errant has made his way into the fold and now keeps his keen eye peeled for the weasels and foxes who pose such a threat to the other creatures.

EPICS: Lost Sawmill Modular interlocking MDF fantasy/historical terrain
Well, today I caught up with the Isaac Williams, the owner of Lost Sawmill, who ran a kickstarter campaign finishing yesterday, unfortunately unfunded.
However, not allowing that to daunt him, he plans to return to kickstarter in the near future with a smaller campaign concentrating more on the variety of accessories. It really was an amazing sight to behold and the sheer size and majesty of this modular kit is impossible to convey, in pictures or words, really something you have to see, preferably own, for yourself.
With plans for city dwellings, shops, inns and taverns and a whole lot more, this is one to keep an eye peeled for.
Watch my little video below for more from Isaac himself as he says a little about his future plans. He was packing down at the time, so I did not want to hold him up too long and the main parts of the castle were already packed away, but the porticulus seen beside him is just a tiny portion of the full kit. It is trly the most incredible piece of terrain accessory/ies I have ever had the good fortune to lay my eyes (and I hope in the not too distant future, my hands) upon.
Good to read these, and would say keep an eye on the new Goblin Hood ks from Macrocosm, as almost funded 2nd sg, which will be Friar Troll and his monk brothers!

Goblin Hood 2: Little John by Macrocosm:-
http://www.beastsofwar.com/liveblogentry/goblin-hood-2-little-john/
As @mousaka says very nearly at the Friar Troll. To help with getting to the goal, the Jotnar Trolls are making another appearance, fresh out of the Dwarves at Arms campaign, along with some other older trolls which have dragged themselves out of their lair. Stay tuned for another overview in the next day or two…
You missed this one:

Did I, or did you just miss this one? I did it last week…
In fact, look who commented. Iain is a nice guy and I will re-mention it soon…
Thanks for the tip though. I don’t catch everything in the net, and I can’t spend all my time on this.
Fair enough! I completely missed that! Good stuff!

great looking card game worth loking at
