250Y FOJ – Road to Independence

About the Project
On July 4th, 2026, Americans will celebrate 250 years of independence. This long-term project is the way to get there. I have been interested in the history of the creation of the United States for a very long time and have visited some of the historical places like Boston / Philadelphia / Lexington / Jamestown etc. I would now like to link this to the tabletop hobby.

This Project is Active
WHITE IS NOT WHITE
Actually, I hate to paint with white – but with these redcoats fighting in the South Carolina woods, white is not white
The components
During assembly, the Revell adhesive has proven to be perfect. But you have to remove some casting points first
ASSEMBLY
The 4 sprues per box for 30 figures each offer a lot of variety – and a lot of bits are left over. However, you have to be careful which arm goes with which body
ROADMAP
This long-term project explores the path to American independence, from the settlement of the East Coast, the war between France and England, the Regulators’ uprising and finally the War of Independence.
I will paint and build figures and terrain in 28mm scale and recreate some of the main skirmishes and battles.
