I decided not to do the Camo Scheme because A) It looks hard. B) I like the plain Sand and C) It's still historical.I decided not to do the Camo Scheme because A) It looks hard. B) I like the plain Sand and C) It's still historical.

Gerry was right. I couldn't find a good source of Large Flames of War Bases. I was in my local cheap shop and saw a pack of MDF so decided to make my own.

2 Artilley/SPG's per base. This means 4 bases equals one Battery. Bases are 65mm x 50mm and cut with a Stanley knife then bevelled.2 Artilley/SPG's per base. This means 4 bases equals one Battery. Bases are 65mm x 50mm and cut with a Stanley knife then bevelled.

The Idea

The idea is to take Flames of War and replace the miniatures with 6mm ones while keeping the footprint the same. Infantry Squads become Platoons, Individual Tanks become Tank Troops and Companies become Battalion or Brigades.

A 15mm Tank is about the same size as a Flames of War Large Base so mounting tanks on a Large base shouldn't change anything.A 15mm Tank is about the same size as a Flames of War Large Base so mounting tanks on a Large base shouldn't change anything.
I'll try and base the tanks in their proper Troop size. Imagine the base with texture and some rocksI'll try and base the tanks in their proper Troop size. Imagine the base with texture and some rocks

Granted this is 2/3rds of an Armoured Artillery Brigade. I might cut the artillery down to 2 SPG's per base (Four Bases being one Battery of an Armoured Artillery Brigade). That's over 300 Points of Flames of War without upgrades and not counting the 50 Universal Carriers. Printed in an afternoon for maybe $10.That's over 300 Points of Flames of War without upgrades and not counting the 50 Universal Carriers. Printed in an afternoon for maybe $10.

I was blown away by the detail on the Priests. The helmets are wrong but at 6mm I don't really care.I was blown away by the detail on the Priests. The helmets are wrong but at 6mm I don't really care.
