New Blue Jaguar Warrior
The one on the right is the new paint scheme and I really like it a lot more then the old one ( left side) with the lighter blue I was able to do the black out line of the spots. Well that’s it for now on to the Conquistadors ?
Blue Jaguar warrior
30 minute hobby challenge update
Tried my hand at painting the Blue Jaguar warrior I think if I paint another one I am going to use a lighter blue base and paint black around the medium blue dot. I am happy with the shield that looks nice . Don’t tell anyone but I stole that from a green Aztec warrior.
Blue Jaguar warrior
Started on a blue Jaguar warrior and I’m not happy with the spots to be honest I might go back and line the spots in black like my other Jaguar warriors .
Finished the novice Aztecs
30 min hobby challenge
Sorry about yesterday I dropped the ball ? didn’t get any hobby stuff done but today I was able to get my basic basing on and painted the shields.
Painting up novice Aztecs
Finished painting up these novice Aztecs I also applied a basic basing mix I use. It’s made up of woodland scenic fine turf green blend and I mix in sifted dirt and tea to add texture.
Based the Aztecs in a jungle theme
For the base I stared with a fine green flock mixed with sifted dirt and black tea . As far as the plants go I used ferns that I made , aquarium plastic plants, and reindeer moss. I think I achieved a jungle look I am looking for.
Jaguar reference spots
Here are some photos that helped me out when I was painting my Jaguar warriors.
Mendoza Codex
here are some photos that I found on line of the Mendoza Codex. This codex was made by Spanish explorers that documented the Aztecs military and way of life . Only a small portion but probably the most historical accurate documents of the Aztecs empire that was made by Europeans .
