Fight As Wrestling Icons In Gale Force Nine’s WWE Superstars
May 5, 2015 by brennon
If you're interested in the theatrics and over the top nature of Wrestling (sorry to say but it isn't real folks!) then see what you think of Gale Force Nine's next board game, WWE Superstars...
Royal Rumble
The board game contains wrestlers including Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns, John Cena, Big Show, Randy Orton and Big E. It looks like it could potentially have built upon the arena based gameplay of Spartacus with card play instead of dice changing things up.
Team based play and up to six players also makes for an interesting prospect with this game and I'd love to see this as a rather quick and easy party game for a bunch of people to get stuck into and have a bit of fun with. Wrestling has always been a little bit silly so this seems like a perfect opportunity for some fun.
Will you be keeping an eye on this?

My nephew loves WWE, I might get this for us to play!
When you say it isn’t real, do you mean predetermined? While the result might be fixed, the joy of watching wrestling is the spectacle, the theatrics, the uncertainty of which wrestler will betray who or the imaginative ways in which one will defeat the other. Also the moves, stunts and injuries they do are very real.
By the way, this game looks neat. May have to get.
I mean that it isn’t ‘real’ as in it’s acting @dantihero1 Good acting, and very well orchestrated – all wrestlers are very competent athletes in their own right and I totally understand the lure of wrestling.
BoW Ben
Will they bring out more wrestlers for this?
I don’t think I’d be throwing jabs about wrestling not being “real” on a site that promotes grown men playing with toys. The phrase comes off as more than a little insulting. I mean, seriously, wrestling fans have known for decades that it’s staged.
Some people just don’t understand draw of pro-wrestling. I have not watched WWE for least 3 years but I still love pro-wrestling and I have watched other promotions/companies to satisfy my love for it.
I don’t think it was intended as a Jab @bigdaddio however I shall body slam @brennon next time I see him 😉
And if that doesn’t get the message through a DDT will swiftly follow 😉
If this game kicks off they’ll have a massive roster to choose from for expansions. Even like some older wrestlers or maybe even those who’ve passed away. Who wouldn’t want to see the likes of Stone Cold facing off against the Ultimate Warrior.
If John Cena has more than 5 moves….
I have only one word . . .
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
