Unboxing: Warzone Resurrection Bauhaus Venusian Rangers
June 16, 2015 by dignity
We're taking a look at some more Warzone: Resurrection minis with Rob from Prodos Games. This time around it's the rocket launcher wielding, skull masked Venusian Rangers of the Bauhaus faction.
These menacing guys are inspired by the original designs from the 1990's and come in a squad of five with two rocket launchers per squad meaning these guys can cause massive damage.
They also come with a booby trap token, perfect for denying areas of the tabletop from rival factions.
Stay tuned for our new show 'Entering Warzone' coming soon!

Although they come with the camouflage skill (It’s 10% harder to hit them), it’s too bad they don’t come with the camo cloaks (grant’s the Stalk skill) in their baseline cost of 100 points because once you put two rocket launchers in the squad you are paying 140 points which is two 5-man squads from most other armies. Still, you can’t argue with RS 15!
Oh, and the booby trap token is only triggered by enemy models, thank goodness 🙂
Justin! You need to change your signature picture to a new one. Otherwise people will miss the awesome glory of your MANLY beard. I demand it!
Where would everybody rank PRODOS now in terms of leading wargaming companies? Based on their products, pretty high up there I would say! I shall be picking up AVP soon. I be all like ‘in the pipe… 5 by 5!’
What would be your parameters? Figures only, figures and rules or just rules only?. Guess you would have to include boardgames as well.
For me value for money is the big one as I tend to buy rules and miniatures separately depending on the period I am interested in
All of the above I guess. I’d put them around a 6 myself based on the great IP’s they’ve locked in and quality of the figures I’ve seen so far, though I haven’t seen any ‘in the flesh’ as it were. Not familiar with their rules either or Customer Service but I’ve been impressed with what I’ve seen so far. I will pick up AVP soon and maybe a box of WARZONE mini’s to paint.
The minis are mostly nice, some poses and sculpts not to my taste- but I have a growing collection of Imperials, Capitol and Legion. I even have a couple of Brotherhood minis to. Yes, I have a problem
nice figures for a paint project what size are these figures could I use them in dust as well. Prodos games around a 6 to a 7 at the moment for me at the most, but I did say currently might move up or down accordingly.
Yeah they are 32mm ‘scale’ so the troops will work well IMHO. I don’t know about the vehicles though.. they don’t really have the same proportions as the DUST walkers.
I still prefer the old helmets because the new ones look like necrons. weird that they fill an anti tank role considering that’s traditionally the job of the bauhaus blitzers. Perhaps the rules will shift towards a more jack of all trades role when the blitzers finally does show.
