These videos are great, very well done and skillful job. Unfortunately I don’t get as much out of them as your previous 3 Colours Up because I don’t have an airbrush. And I don’t have the money to buy one.
Gotta agree with garwjenk here, great vid/paint job but with the exception of a few base coats using the citadel spray gun I don’t know anyone that uses an airbrush. I painted all my super heavies without one and largely due to the cost of even a basic rig have no intention of investing in one.
True, an airbrush is woefully expensive stuff, especially since you need good quality (otherwise, it just falls apart). I’d rather buy minis.
Me too =\
Lovely airbrush technique !
It’s nice that you show how to magnetize… And I think an airbrush is almost a requirement for those big models. They never used to be that big, in previous years…
Very impressive work, that sword looks stunning, will be copying this technique for my swords.
Nice job but have to say prefer John’s 3 colours up. Not everyone has or can afford airbrushed, and some just like using brushes.
Shame really as 3 colours up was one of my fave segments but seems to be now a distent memory
Do not despair…
Agreed, I miss John and his T-shirts, and can’t wait for more “3 colours up”!!
Excellent work. I am currently debating on whether or not to purchase an airbrush. Could we please see some painting of red? For example a red land raider with shading would be fantastic, or red space marines.
They had one on the sight earlier, by Awesome Paint Job.
Here it is! http://www.beastsofwar.com/warhammer-40k/paint-blood-ravens-space-marine/
Thanks for the link. Still might like one with citadel paints and a vehicle.
hmmm it looks cool but its still too focused on pro painting, i would love to actually submit a video for 3 colors up sometime but not sure.
nice video but i simply could never afford an airbrush. I miss 3 colours up 🙁
poor you 🙁
Lucky we just uploaded the first part of the new 3 colours up then 😉
im glad you put this video on the main page that way more people will see it.Just dont say its exclusively for beasts of war as hes had it up on both his utube channels for almost 2 weeks and ive had it up in the demonhunters group for 4 days.
The bit of magnetizing at the beginning was a nice surprise.
well hes putting out the grey knights paladins/termies next just seen the teaster video for it and they look fantasic
I find him hard to understand, looks cool, just find it difficult to follow, when i have no idea what he just said.
try watching his polish channel for six months then its easy 2 understand his english 1
I live near Liverpool, if you can understand scousers, you can understand almost anybody 😛
I thought the video had some great tips and it was easy to see what he was doing (not all tutorial videos can boast both). I do not use an airbrush, but most of the effects can be achieved via other means.
I own an airbrush so seeing this made me want to dig it out and get some stuff done!
Lots of sites and Les at awesome paint job all say you need to get an expensive airbrush or nothing. I got a cheap one with a compressor for £60 from ebay and despite being a pain at times, its far better than just not having an airbrush at all because I can’t afford £150 on the brush alone. Its silly to think you need to jump in at pro level gear just to try something!
Been tempted by an airbrush myself a few times. But to be honest I could not justify the cost vs useage. Expecially when BoW have already “made” me invest in some Kings of War and infinity models. And I have a fair few marines and guard still to paint. sigh……… plastic crack indeed.
Great video, great accent. Love it.
Great video – good techniques, clearly show – nice result too. Thanks
Do you paint the Satin straight or mix it with water?
love the sword work
Ah! Come on BoW! Where’s the video gone?
