Wargame Exclusive’s Cyperhia The Fallen Tells A New Grimdark Story
June 22, 2017 by brennon
Wargame Exclusive work on a lot of interesting alternative models for use in Warhammer 40,000 and their newest creation, Cypheria The Fallen, is quite the departure from her original inspiration.
A bit of gender swapping is always good in my books and it's neat to see the tale of this Fallen Angel being done in a different way. Like most of you, I imagine you'd like to see more Female Super Soldiers and this certainly opens up the army to more possibilities.
I really like the design of her sword and the way the cloak has been done. I think it's particularly striking. Now, while she is designed for 'Chaos' forces I think she'd be pretty awesome when dropped into a Sisters Of Battle army as a potentially rogue element that they call upon to help them in dire straits.
What do you reckon to Cypheria?

Cypheria the Fallen ????????????? %^%%$ me. It is a nice sculpt, but ……………….really?
lovely looking models. if your in the market for girls for the grim dark then raging heroes stuff if also gorgeous.
nice the emperor isn’t expecting that.
Man (and Woman) We reaaaaaally need to stop sexualizing the female bodie… It’s getting tiresome.
It’s a shame, the sculpt is great, with awesome detail. But she is almost naked just because is a female.
I honestly don’t understand the appeal of the complete lack of armour; the model would have been so much better if she were wearing clothing.
Here’s hoping that the next sculpt, Roberta, decides wearing full armour would be a better option.
It (and many of the other minis they make) – that is futuristic, gothic female fill the gap that is open because the sisters of battle have been ignored for decades.
She’s a good addition to the Cypher myth. At least she’s equipped – and clothed – for the grim dark future.
Was thinking of getting this, until I read the comments and had a closer look and realised that she forgot to get dressed!
Nice sculpt but… IP theft at its finest (just my opinion)
Yep that was my objection
Not really. As Chapterhouse demonstrated in court, you can make things that look like GW ideas if you want to.
Doesn’t look naked to me.
If you think that’s bare skin just paint it a different colour and she’s wearing a jumpsuit.
If you look at the rest of the female models that Wargame Exclusive sell, it is pretty evident that this model carries on in the grand tradition of females wearing very little armour in comparison to their male counterparts.
Painting the skin a different colour so that it could be a jumpsuit, doesn’t make the issue go away that this is a trope that needs to stop.
And it’s a real shame, because looking at the male characters / vehicles / orks that Wargame Exclusive also sell, they do put out some really good stuff.
And they also do non-cheesecake models.
From the looks of things they do have some very talented sculptors.
Female version of Cypher eh? I must admit that I didn’t expect that. Still both sculpts are actually really good so I can’t complain that.
It it just like I always thought Cypher and all the Dark Angels are women.
That’s their secret.

They do some lovely models, but clothing (or lack of) on their female minis is a massive throwback. Sculpt is good, design choices less so
