So What Exactly is Mantic Games’ Dreadball?

A very interesting leak here for you guys to get your mitts on. With Kings of War receiving its hardback Rulebook and Warpath heading into the first stages of its 2.0 rules what could be next from Mantic Games? Well, how about what appears to be a futuristic sports game?
As you can see the games Dreadball logo has a little bit of the 80's and 90's about it so could we be seeing something that's a little Tron like? Perhaps even something akin to Jumpball from Starship Troopers? Maybe a look at the Pitch might help shed a little light on things...
What's certain is that this isn't a pretender to Blood Bowl or looking like anything we have seen before on the'Fantasy Sport' market. I'm loving the cyberpunk style and hex based pitch. Now just to decipher what all those colours mean!
Obviously all good sports games need a few teams to duke it out and here is a snapshot of some concept art for the Human team. I would think it's safe to assume that the Corporation has their hand in things and if that's true then what about the other races in the Warpath universe? Forge Father teams, Veer-Myn, Marauders are all a possibility!
All I can say is that I'm loving what is on show so far and let's hope as we move through the next couple of months more will be revealed about this interesting new angle from Mantic.

I’d heard that the concepts were outstanding, but this really is. I can’t wait to get my hands on this!
That looks great, is it just me or do the 5 green hexes down the centre line/no mans land bit suggest a dodgeball type game? Very interested in this, I’m sure Ronnie mentioned something about the next kickstarter being later this year, too soon for Warpath but possibly nicely timed to get this out before Xmas.
