ABC Warriors Of All Flavours Hit The Tabletop For Judge Dredd
September 27, 2016 by brennon
Warlord Games have been tinkering away behind the scenes on some additional characters for use in your games of Judge Dredd. The ABC Warriors are taking to the tabletop...
Leading the way we have Deadlock & Happy Shrapnel. I won't pretend that I know much about these characters in the world of Judge Dredd but I really like the look of Deadlock. Classic Fantasy looks in the world of Judge Dredd might be somewhat defunct but it makes for an interesting model.
Next up we have Joe Pineapples & Blackblood.
Of the two of these characters, I think Joe Pineapples is the best. That is one hell of a sniper rifle! His character sounds quite interesting too - seducing women and rebuilding himself in different ways!
We're now moving to some of the bigger models for the ABC Warriors as we look at Hammerstein.
This chap is a War Droid and the longest serving of the ABC Warriors according to the background. He looks like one of those rock n' sock'em robots that you'd get as a toy! You can certainly see the quirky nature of Judge Dredd coming through.
Last but not least we have the Mongrol.
Rebuilt by a scavenger called Lara this fellow was part of a paratrooper platoon. He might have little legs but he has massive fists for smashing his opponents out of the way.
What do you think?

Nice to see Judge Dredd getting some minitures around the time of the 2000th Prog for 2000 AD.
Played Dredd for the first time last week and loved it being a fan of old school 2000AD. I’m liking the mongrel figure but Foundry miniatures do a better Joe pineapples and Hammerstein in my opinion. Anything new for Dredd is good
Nice minis
Nothing to do with Dredd . Is this game portraying the Stallone version of Dredd
It is the comics version 2000AD
Love the ABC warriors.
looks great.
ABC warriors were one of my favourite series from 2000AD back in the day, where is Rojaws? Of course if they decided to do a few Button Man minis then I’d be a buyer immediately, that was by far my favourite story as a kid.
Foundry do a Row Jaws miniature as well as a few other classic characters such as Nemisis, Slaine and Rogue Trooper
Those are rather nice and characterful robots.
That’s not Joe Pineapples! I remember being a huge fan back in the day. He was my favourite ABC Warrior. Listening to music while he got the job done. I may check out Foundry if they do a better version, I already have their Slaine sculpts.
I was another big ABC Warriors fan from back in the day. I’m not really feeling these sculpts which as has been mentioned, are generally inferior to the Foundry sculpts, which are themselves pretty dated.
+1 for the Foundry ABC Warriors – whether or not it’s paint jobs, but I’m not feeling the same love with these.
