Boris Woloszyn Sculpts Up A Mighty HeroQuest Diorama
May 25, 2017 by brennon
Boris Woloszyn has been sculpting away on his HeroQuest diorama for a while now and not long ago we got to see the final diorama all laid out and ready for a lick of paint. See what you think...
Based on the artwork of Les Edwards I think this is a fitting tribute to these adventurers as they delved into the darkness in search of riches and glory. I really like how the monsters felt like they were in keeping with the old school look and yet they've been given a modern sculpting touch.
You can also see it in some of the other monsters he's been working on with a HeroQuest theme.
Here you can see one of the Goblins, looking sly and cheeky, alongside the massive Gargoyle and then a classic Fimir too. Each of them looks superb and I'd love to get my hands on these to spruce up a classic dungeon crawler.
What do you think of his work?

These are amazing! They capture the artwork in a way that (IMO) the miniatures of the time never could have!
Will these ever be released for sale though?
They will reportedly be on sale, but they are just tweaking a few things here and there.
Seeing them brings back so many good feelings to my memory, i wish my idiot teenage self had kept Heroquest. Did that 25th anniversary version see the light of day ? I think it was a Spanish games company behind it ?
No is the short answer
That’s a shame.
Yes according to facebook
Oops didnt read carefully enough :p thought you were on about the minis
Blood Moon Miniatures did some Heroquest like sculpts!
Now’s the time to ask – how do I order these Heroquest Dice? – Its a German Website and its not giving me a UK option for payment…

Zealot Miniatures has some new furniture resembling the classic Heroquest stuff – Its awesome 🙂
I seem to have side stepped into a universe where WFRP is both thriving and being attended to by a well regarded RPG producer, WH40K has been given a serious player ( rather than customer ) focussed overhaul along with ‘let’s pretend they’re true scale’ grittier looking Space Marines, and Heroquest miniatures look exactly like they do on the box. I am the old begger who has waited patiently, preparing in secret for the powers to return.
fabulous figures.
My inner ten year old just had a moment… This is pure win.
Absolutely amazing. His other stuff looks superb too.
Nice capture of the cover art.
Nice!
If he releases those sculpts I’m so getting a set.
