Crescent Root Put Together A Modern Middle-Eastern Battlefield
April 29, 2015 by brennon
See what Crescent Root Studios have in store for you as they have put together a new Modern looking Middle-Eastern Set of Terrain in 28mm that would be great for playing games like Skirmish Sangin and with Spectre Miniatures new range we reckon...
Perfect For An Ambush
All of the buildings you can see below are made of MDF and then pre-coloured and textured to finish them off. Add to that that they also come with removable roofs and have interior floors and you have quite the setting for an ambush...
As mentioned above I think that these would work perfectly for a range of modern warfare type settings on the tabletop. You could very well have a motorcade trying to find its way through the warren of streets only to be set upon by soldiers with RPGs atop the roofs. It's then up to your men to try and clear the way for your VIP and get to the other side.
I think as a set of terrain it's very accomplished in terms of the finished product and well worth taking another look at.
What do you think?

Nice! Those prices are pretty good, too! Shame posting MDF overseas is so expensive though.. I wouldn’t mind a set of these.
Damn shame they are not UK based – or shipping was not cheaper. Their terrain looks really nice. 🙁
Very nice. All my ‘modern’ stuff is 20mm, but very detailed.
WAAH! PERFECT! Been looking for terrain for my Napoleonic Ottomans, the streets of Acre have just come alive me thinks, hehehe!!!
nice.
They have done a great job of hiding the joints between the pieces. This set isn’t the right style to fit my terrain collection but if they do some more European looking stuff I’ll have to check it out.
This is CRACK! WOW 😀
This is incredible. This is the best Haqqislam terrain on the market. It looks better than the Plastcraft stuff, it’s preassembled and prepainted (!!!), and the price is extremely reasonable. The fact that the doors work is a very nice added bonus. It ought to play well. I’ll get a table of this.
Great googly moogly! How did I miss this post? Those are fine buildings and pre-painted you say? Gonna have to check this out in detail.
