28mm Sci-Fi Car Scenery from ZombieSmith.

Want to populate the roads of your Sci-Fi boards with some cover? Or indeed just for show perhaps. How about these resin pieces from ZombieSmith?
Not incredibly detailed, but works as simple terrain pieces?
What do you think?
Sweet! They look like F-Zero Machines!
The product shot makes them look like vacuformed plastic…I know more clutter isn’t the same as more detail but I think these could have been better.
Looks a bit like the cars I made way (way) back in the boy scouts.
If you get past the incredibly rudimentary paint job, the may have some potential.
I think the problem with these is that clear canopies are pretty much expected. I think they would be a lot more appealing if they found a way to sell them with clear windows.
Who does clear canopies? I’d love to see how they do it for something else I am working on.
Unless your going for best painted prize in a comp , as scenery there good , would you want to spend maybe double on a model for it jus to sit there in a game and be cover.
I would use these as they are , wargaming should be about that gaming , yes models and painting are important , but someone as gone to the time and expense of creating something that is perfectly usable , and it gets slagged off. I can never fathom wargamers….
This hobby appeals to a broad range of tastes and preferences, some focus more on collecting, some on painting, some on being the best tabletop general, some because they just love the sci fi genre, others because they love fantasy. I don’t think its up to any one person to define what wargaming “should be” with such a narrow minded perspective.
These are designed to have dozens of them on your board for cheap. We play Infinity and always in an urban setting. You need cars for that, parked and traveling randomly down streets. Who wants to spend hundreds of dollars on something that is just cover?
