I’ll definitely be getting this. i missed out on Wing of War back in the day so it’s good to have another chance. It’s probably old age creeping in but I find the real world history more compelling than the fantasy or sci-fi equivalents.
Hmm, if it costs about the same as X-wing I should pick this up. Hopefully there’ll be an English Channel/Southern Coast mat at some point.
The starter set is a fair bit more expensive than x-wing’s, though you’re getting an extra plane/ship, and a lot more cardboard than comes with X-wing. the indivdual plane expansions are pretty much the same price as x-wing with a similar progression through small fighters, large fighers like bf110s, and medium and heavy bombers.
There is already a very B of B coast mat available, as well.
I picked up the starter last week. despite the superficial similairty to x-wing it feels very different, even without the advanced rules for altitude and so on.
interesting, would love to see game play
That is great news. Those of us that have missed out on WoG get chance to get into it
Ooh nice planes.
Could be interesting, be keen to see how it plays.
Have WWI and WWII both are great games looking forward to getting this one
Anybody know who stocks this???
I purchased this and an industrial mat. I am going through the scenarios and plan to purchase all the models for the included scenarios. Does anyone know where I might get a bombing scenario for attacks on Germany? I would like to paint up some Mustangs from the Tuskegee Squadron as a bomber escort.
Having only played Wing of War/Glory in the WWI variant, I was always hesitant to move into the the jet age. This box though is tugging at me though. Also I might be in a small group of players that prefer the plane cards on the table over the minis themselves. Blasphemy, I know.
