Unboxing WWX: Deputy Berenger, Morgan Earp & Thomas Tate Tobin
January 21, 2015 by dignity
Justin and Sean of Outlaw Miniatures take another look at some models from the awesome Wild West Exodus range. This time we have Lawmen sidekicks and a Mercenary who's a bit of a headhunter.
From the Lawmen we've got Deputy Berenger and Morgan Earp, who comes in two flavours, one of which is in a mech suit! We also have the mercenary Thomas Tate Tobin who is a fan favourite in the WWX novels.
Morgan Earp or Mech Morgan Earp, which one do you think is best?
I’m desperate to get in to Wild West Exodus, but I have no idea where to go about purchasing their stuff in the UK. Anybody have any ideas? I’d like to start with the 2 player box, then expand after that. Any help would be great!
So far the only place currently to stock a reasonable amount is Wayland games, but a lot of people have fallen out of favour with them. Firestormgames offer a small selection but if enough people badger them I’m sure they’ll get more stock.
I’ve resorted to order directly from Outlaw themselves.
I’ve heard rumours there will be another Wild West Exodus coming soon. I sure hope so, because I missed the first one, and Justin’s love and enthusiasm of the game has inspired me to try it out myself 😀
There is going o be a second kickstarter to get out the 4 remaining factions in March 🙂
Am desperately trying to resist picking up yet another game system, but you guys aren’t making it easy for me!! 🙂
Can anyone from the US say something about how WWE is going?
In germany there was only one online-retailer and it took the game from the stock because there is no community.
Is there a fanbase in the US?? The Boardgamegeek forum seems quiet empty too.
There are some scattered WWXrs in Germany… some were huge posters in the forum, Matthais has some of the best terrain pics in his Forum thread… If your wanting to chat with some other european WWXrs they have a Facebook group called The Regulators…
WWX is going great! Outlaw has several deputies spread throughout the US, and I believe one in Canada so far… we have pockets of groups sprouting everywhere… new people join the offical forums everyday, as well as the Facebook Group The Dark Council, and Wild West Exodus Posse. We tend to get lots of hands on chatter from the creators of the game on the forums and Facebook groups… The Dark Council group is not just for US folks so all are welcome!
