Not to be a spelling nazi, but Draigo is the Grey Knight Chapter Master and the warjack is Drago. Great video and model though. I have always meant to get one for my Khador force and I just may go pick one up now after taking another look at him here.

eVlad is one of my favorite warcasters (he runs elite infantry like the greatbears and man-o-war demo corps so well he dosen’t even need more jacks than Drago) so this guys been on my ‘to buy’ list fo a long time, but I’ve been distracted picking up more ranged warjacks for Harkovitch (he does love his bombards). Still, as long as they can kill poncy southern dogs I don’t mind either 😀
Plus bonus points for Drago just because hes possibly the most hardcore looking warjack in the game
Replace his helmet with the big Khorne Head from the Chaos Spawn sprue, and you have a perfect Khorne dreadnought, much better than the GW one… and it should be noticable cheaper as well.
Drago is 59.99. The GW dreadnaught is 44.50. Cheaper? I don’t think so.
Using a plastic model for an IMPERIAL dreadnought for your comparison was a pretty poor choice. considering that the planned replacement is a CHAOS dreadnought. In either event, all of the GW dreadnought models are VERY static when compared to Drago. musteatbrains is talking about a CHAOS dreadnought. UK rrp for the GW Chaos dreadnought is £36.00, while the UK rrp for Drago is £33.95. So, yes Drago would be cheaper…just not as noticeable as you would think. Although great with the Vlads, Drago can be run quite well with Karchev, his spell “unearthly rage” effectively cancels out the unstable cortex problem making him a good spearhead with other berserkers in tow lol
Oh come on, not liking eVlad? Take full Uhlans with Markov and a Rifle Corps. Turn 1 put up Transference and Hand of Fate the Rifles. Turn 2 use the rifles to punch a hole to their caster, activate Vlad, put hand of fate on the Uhlans, Feat and target the Uhlans, and then Charge with the Uhlans. 16″ threat range with reach, they charge through each other hand have pathfinder, they roll 3d6 to hit dropping the lowest….at Mat 10 (boostable) with crit knockdown, and on a hit it’s a POW 19 rolling 4d6 damage, dropping the lowest die,… Read more »
You almost had it right. The charge attacks would be at MAT11 (Ulans are base MAT6, the feat add +3 MAT and you get +2 to the attack roll for a cavalry charge). You also need to remember that any of the Ulans that made it within 0.5″ of the Warcaster also get to do impact attacks at MAT9 (thanks to the feat) These also benefit from Had of Fate, but not from Transference (as mount attack and damage cannot be boosted).
Whoops, that charge damage should not have been boostable….ignore that bit :p
I was so looking forward to this! the last warcaster I got myself was pvlad (which I like because he is straight forward) and my next aim was drago because of the model. he has such a nice pose that i am going to use him for my normal berserker as well. Anyway good informative vid again Andy and on one of my favourite jacks: great!
Another big and red heavy warjack for khador and this one is character. That has to be currently best looking heavy warjack in game.
Just a thing guys,you should fix the description,drago’s got Executioner axes (like destroyers) instead of Ice axes (juggernauts)

With either Vlad you can have some strange going on with Drago. It matters little which you use as either Signs and Portents or Hand of Fate result in much the same thing…..Drago rolling 4D6 for all of it’s attack and damage rolls and dropping the lowest two. The affinity grants the same bonus as these spells, but as the NAME of the effect is different they can be stacked. For pVlad, this is fine, but for eVlad I think it is a waste of Hand of Fate. I really don’t think that Drago is only viable with the Vald’s. Both Karchev and pButcher have ways of being able to boost him to the point where he doesn’t need focus, coupled with his Chain attack.
I don’t usually go for large metal models… But this one looks excellent !

This model is probably my favourite warjack.
To be honest I’m almost tempted to buy 3 of them, one to use as Drago and 2 to use as Berserkers, then lead them all with The Dark Prince.
I know that would probably struggle against infantry, a clever opponent would bog the jacks down with fodder then try to assassinate Vlad, but my goodness it would look impressive.
