The Vrock From Ultraforge
February 25, 2011 by dignity
The guys have let me off the leash again to go hunting for something off topic. What I've found is another big nasty demon from Ultraforge Miniatures, this time its The Vrock a dragon like demon with bird wings moulded in to its arms and a massive polearm to hack away at all the puny models it will come up against on your gaming table.
So once again I want to say a big thanks to the guys at Huddersfield Games for sending it in to us, I'm all about the big demon models these days, and the resin stuff is just gorgeous, what do you guys think?

That’s a really nice lord of change alternative, or a dragon mage etc for dungeon crawlers or homemade RPGs, and then you consider its about the same effective size as the Forgeworld lord , the FW version’s wings and his raised arm count towards the 240mm height FW state compared to the 130mm for this one, he might just be a tiny bit shorter to his eyes but you can buy two for the price of the FW one, and with true line of sight being bigger probably doesn’t help. I really like the eye in the shoulder, makes me… Read more »
There really is some nice looking resin stuff out there at the minute. Gribbly miniatures is worth a look, recently picked up the Plague giant and \vilespawn and have to say Im very impressed.
cool man can you send me a link?
I’ve just had a word with Gribbly Miniatures, watch out for a little feature on them soon. 😀

I’d say your best bet for filling gaps is green stuff, that way you can always resculpt some of the details, or add a feather or two to cover up the gap…
I love that huge beast, it has sort of a Skeksis look… I’m extremely impressed with Ultraforge, as always ! Thank you so much for this…
I’m a fan of Milliput for filling in gaps. It’s cheaper and much easier to work with.
Plus if you want to sculpt something, you can sculpt over it, thereby using less (expensive) greenstuff.

You’re right, it’s more manageable, especially with water… And it fills gaps instantly.
I still use green stuff for some repairs, though, because of its elasticity. I’m just more used to it, is all.
Thank you for your interest in this product. We have been selling them on ebay for well over a year. It was time to move away from ebay and we now sell them off the web site. Due to ebay charges its a difficult market to be in during these times. We can now maintain and beat our previous disount if your prepared to contact us. We can matched the shipped cost from other retailers if your prepared to ask. If you want a discount please ask, look at our specials for more details on how to get a discount.… Read more »
well i know Andy in the office swears by it, but I like using greenstuff and your high vis glue.

I only ever use gel glue myself, then and only then do I fill the gaps with putty… For me it’s the only way to go. I rarely have to “glue” two pieces together with putty, especially since I use pinning.
Nice web-shop, by the way !
@glyndwr1974 I use your gel superglue and a little ball of milliput to build nearly all the BoW minis that I make… which is (almost) all the warmachine stuff you’ll see.
It’s great stuff Owen and you get loads of it. I particularly like the little yellow pin in the cap that keeps the nozzel clear. Are there any plans to use somthing similar on the other bottles?
