Unboxing: Steyr Heavy Car
April 30, 2019 by dignity
Justin and Gerry show us the kit for Plastic Soldier Company's Steyr Heavy Car.
The kit for this 15mm vehicle comes with the option of building four variants of the WWII car.
Do you prefer to walk or take the Steyrs?

Looks a fun wee kit to build.
First thing
s first, i
d use one of mine to tow Jerrys 88 and after that i
d tow my 88s (as many as your allowed to have). Not to sure if i
d go early or late, think it would depend on which era of the war i would choose to do.all the 88s all the time 😀
I would use these as range finders or cannon fodder.
Cutting the opening bigger is more or less standard practice, but cutting off the lip on the side panel is just bad design.
Nice little kit. The only issue is transports don’t play much of a role in many games, you use them, and dismount and they disappear. Most would dismount at the start of the battle but for mission completion, you need to keep them on…this is where halftracks are so much better.
One or two on a base might work nicely as a custom objective marker in FoW.
It’s a Kraftfahrzeug! 😉
Looks like a cute little kit
Looks a good utility vehicle.
definitely use them as artillery tows, though if they ever do a 28mm version it will be used as a LRDG captured vehicle, slap a few Vickers on there with stowage and it’s good to go.
nice little transport
Nice little kit. Wish they’d scale up some of the stuff for 28mm.
One of the great things about Plastic Soldier Company is that many of their kits are in multiple scales and come with different variants. Also thanks Gerry for letting us know about the potential issues with putting the kit together! If you could include this kind of info in future unboxings I’m sure many of us would be much obliged!
