Dropfleet Commander Unboxing: Scourge Daemon Battleship
February 14, 2017 by dignity
Today we're unboxing the fearsome Scourge Daemon Battleship for Dropfleet Commander from Hawk Wargames.
The Scourge are a frightening force on the battlefield and these battleships are no exception, the beautiful thing about these models is the freedom of arranging your pieces in whatever layout you see fit.
What would you name this whiskered fiend?

I finally got my KS parcel today, after the game has even Battleships out in retail already. There are even thing missing in the parcel. The delivery of the KS has been a disaster and the communication was even worse.
For months I kept telling friends that the game will arrive any day. They have moved on and so have I. So however nice the models look, I am out of the game before I started it and will sell the entire thing. A shame really.
Before you do sell it, and given how long you’ve already waited, why not leave it another month or so, in the box (obviously if you’re missing stuff that isn’t being sent in a second wave, then follow that up) and put it out of your mind. Then when the stress of the delivery disaster has passed, have another look at the models and then decide what to do. We all know Hawk cocked this up, but it doesn’t change the fact that they’ve produced perhaps the best model space ships ever. I’ve only had a single demo, but the… Read more »
Love the look of the Scourge battleship. Too bad it is plainly crap ingame and not worth the points.
I’d name it “Target #1”
John looks so sad. Did one of the other scoundrels in the studio steal his Sabaton records?!
I think both look lovely and I’d be tempted to try and magnetise it. Same is true of the other Battleships. I want one of each races minimum seeing as I used my KS to get all four starter fleets!
Both! Simply so I get to paint more Scourge
I could not choose so I just got 2 and will build both variants:-) Dropfleet is such a great game, I need to get back to playing, and building my battleships:-)
Built mine and painted it a couple of weeks back, it was fun to build and bend the bits , I tried to make it look like it was swimming through space and was undulating, It was very relaxing to paint using a base silver then building up layers of Rust red wash .
If you’ve got any photos I’d love to see what it looks like. It sounds ace!
Looks like a trilobite.
The Dragon looks lovely but the torps are disappointing in actual play and its launch cap is very low.
looks like a great model to make & paint.
Thanks again to @dignity for letting us borrow his Scourge Battleship at the Dropfleet bootcamp. It’s brutal! Lovely looking ship. I don’t play Scourge but I might still buy that model.
Very nice bio mechanical design, and the quality of the casting is excellent.
