Relic Knights Unboxing: One Shot & Fritz
August 30, 2016 by dignity
Today we're unboxing another Relic Knights model; the scrappy mechanical One Shot & Fritz from Ninja Division.
One Shot is aptly named. It is said her relic's massive Goliath Cannon can bring down a starship. It is a theory that few enemy commanders are willing to test. One Shot combines her devastating fire power with an unmatched skill commanding her troops, guiding their fire into the enemy ranks with surgical precision.
As painting goes, we would definitely recommend painting the Relic and One Shot seperate as it could end up being a little tricky painting between the model and the cockpit of the mech.
How awesome and maniacle does Fritz look also?

You are correct, Justin, the cadre ability is granted to everyone in the cadre. It also remains even if the knight is killed. Coordinated Fire only triggers once, even if there are additional units with LoS. Daystar Blast is very expensive, but very brutal too. As it’s a Line attack, it hits everything on a 30mm wide line from One Shot, to the target, and all the way to the edge of the board. If she’s holding some Held Esper, it can be a double-digit damage attack to multiple enemy units. It’s great for clearing out enemy objectives too.
Ahh One Shot, that’s my favorite Knight right there, the absolutely brutal firepower she wields is just a joy to behold, and so few people are willing to even place their models in her line of sight.
Fritz is the MAN. I love this little guy. With his Pickelhaube (the german name for these helmets) he is too cute. I probably buy this kit just because of him.
One Shot on the other is… well… I think I stop here because some youngsters are around…
I`m loving “Fritz”, he`s one little cute guy. I think if he was made in 28 scale, he`d be one piece i`d get and design a nice diorama for him.
One Shot`s a winner with me, and if i was in to this game she would be the first one i`d get.
I may of missed this, but has @John decided which faction he`s going with yet.
I think I’m missing a wink or a joke here, but in case I’m not Fritz has what looks (to me) like a stylized “broom handle” Mauser C96.
Confirmed for Mauser “Broomhandle” 1896 (C96).
The guys may have been kidding around. This doesn’t seem to be the game for “rivet counting.” 😀
Will there be a BoW demo video made for Relic Knights, I’m really loving the models but would like to see more of the game, any you tube recommendations guys and gals?
I think there already is some footage in the can. No idea when BoW plan to air any of it. With the announcement of 2.0 coming to KS in November, the demo may be a little dated when it finally airs.
Ah a 2.0, seems like a good time to get onboard with the kickstarter.
Do you envisage many changed to the rules Redben, is it worth picking up a rulebook?
The only reason you’ll need the current book (Darkspace Calamity) is if you like reading the fluff. As things stand, the rules in that book have been superseded by a 1.5 version currently available from the Ninja Division website (and I assume are the rules under which the BoW filming was done). The 1.5 just tweaks some things from 1.0 and doesn’t change any of the unit stats. I expect 2.0 to redo the rules rather than just tweak them and update the unit stats. I don’t think it’ll necessarily be massive changes, but it’ll be greater than the difference… Read more »
Cheers Redben, I’ll get the book as I love me a bit of fluff.
And it’s great fluff, too. Easily one of my favorite new sci-fo settings, and it doesn’t take itself too seriously.
