Infinity Unboxing: Maghariba Guard For Haqqislam
August 4, 2016 by dignity
Do you like big spider mechs? No we're not talking about the one in that terrible movie with Will Smith. We're going to be unboxing the Maghariba Guard from Infinity.
Corvus Belli have pulled out all the stops with this miniature and it's no secret that the Maghariba Guard is a beast on the tabletop too. This is a great new addition to the Haqqislam armoury.
You can see a full battle report between Carlos and Killian where they used this model; it's a doozy!

How would you use the Maghariba Guard in your games?
This one looks so much better and scarier than the old one … and one day it will be mine! One day!
And thanks for antoher nice unboxing guys, i love watching them!
No comparison, the new one is so much better. I am currently painting mine. So much surface to cover… The amount of details on it… Just insane. Love it.
Its a semi Gear so making a notch above all else. So metal, hopefully they will soon see the light and go to glorious plastic.
Plastic is not the be all and end all of materials, but for a large kit like this plastic would have been a better fit.
Oh we can go one better for traumatising friends with anime: back at uni we left a mate of ours to watch Evangelion: Death & Rebirth and End of Evangelion with no prior knowledge of the franchise. Poor sod.
you fellas got to keep that , you lucky so and so.
I think the pinup is a great model and with the pose she has might work just polishing the cockpit .but I would love to see an open cockpit version though.
Will this be one of the next Johns challenges? seems to be in the edge of his comfort zone.
This is a big improvement on the previous version – it looks much more dynamic and fearsome. A metal model that large does look a bit daunting to less experienced hobbyists though. Given that it’s the largest model they make, this might have been a good time for CB to look into plastic although I appreciate that would have probably led to a more expensive model.
look like a great model should make a great heavy support for troops in many games?
Very nice mini (if you can call it a “Mini” that is), and great paint scheme. @Justin`s idea of putting a figure inside can be done, but who ever take`s it on has one heck of a challenge ahead of them.
Me on the other hand, i like things simple.
