Bolt Action Unboxing: M3 Stuart
January 27, 2017 by dignity
Today we unbox the M3 Stuart from Warlord Games for Bolt Action.
The M3 Stuart is a direct upgrade from its predecessor, the M2 light tank. With its thicker armour, modified suspension and new recoil system. The M3 Stuart used the 37mm M5 gun (later to be replaced by the new, slightly longer M6 gun) as well as five mounted Browning machine guns.
Check out this awesome recent paint job by @volleyfireandy on the M3 Stuart
Have you got yourself an M3 Stuart?
What a great looking tank!
I think stat cards would be a huge help for new players as well. If I ever pick up Bolt Action, it’ll be the next thing I put in my cart. Will be so much easier getting an overview of the army, what it has, what it lacks etc.
Sweet little tank and deservedly called Honey. My favourite Airfix tank for my Airfix 8th Army figures back in the day.
Definitely need one for BA!
Nice looking kit . Love the various options for building , Brit , US or Russian M3s for different times of the war . Does it come with 2 37mm guns so you can swap out the turrets ,for double the fun , or can only one can be built like the T-34/76 ? And the M3A1 version can be used in Normandy ( 31 st Tank Brigade ) if you remove all the rivets ( welded hull ) so get kit bashing !
Just the one main gun in the kit
Thank you for the link gents!
US Marine Corps variants as well for Pacific campaigns (where the ranges typically seen in Bolt Action generally make more sense).
Phantom Tank, anyone?
I like the stat cards.
It would be great if they did more stat cards. It gives you a fast look at all that you have without having to flick through a book or having to make your own ref. sheet.
A cute little kit with many possibilities.
looks like a great wee kit to make.
Only one 37mm gun per kit , well looks like I’m going to have to order a 3 pack . Too many versions I want to build
Yes to all, more stat cards and love that they come with the damage markers as well 🙂
I really hope that they do decks of card separately as well.
I picked up 2 of the Stuart Platoon boxes and they did not come with stat cards or damage markers. Not sure if I was very unlucky or if they only come with the single tank box.
Yes please to more of the cute early war tanks for al the countries involved!
Plastic tanks make the period so much more accessible.
I’ve never been a huge fan of historicals but am getting interested with my Konflict 47 starter coming.
I want to use one of these in my American army.
I like how knowledgeable John is and the little facts he gives about the vehicle like the rivets going out of style or the aesthetic machine guns.
