Unboxing: Flames Of War Panzergrenadier Platoon
October 22, 2014 by dignity
We're heading back to World War II with a look at some more ace miniatures for Flames of War! This time it's the plastic Panzergrenadier Platoon for the Axis forces.
The kit looks like a great addition to an existing German army. Have you picked one up?
What I find weird about the name of the Stuka zu Fuß is that it references the Stuka Plane and seems to have something to do with the devastating efficiency. Still a strange name for me…
Stuka zu Fuß, references the diver bomber. It’s a stuka “on foot” or walking stuka. It earned the nickname for the ability mimic the bombers devastating attacks
What’s the point of committing if you don’t read the comments Justin. Good show john.
it was a joke bud 🙂
don’t worry he doesn’t read the comments so he’ll never know of the debate ^^
Great show, but you forgot to mention the bases :p
Of course if you don’t read the comments you will never see this.
Opps my bad should read commenting (dam auto spell thing ).
a very informative video like it.
Great unboxing guys. Love the fact yous are so into what you are doing it really comes across and we get some fun facts about how the box content where used in real life just makes it even better.
the standing mg42 gunner would have his oppo holding the bi-pod
also note that the kneeling german next to the standing gunners is the oppo holding the bi-pod
cause of instant blown ear drums
brick?
Well, that third MG42 guy.
The guys went on about building a wall for him, but right next to him is a crouching person holding what looks like the leg piece of the MG.
Yeah, the kneeling one is holding the extended but closed bipod; the MG42 extends over his shoulder. I put together 2 of these machine gunners incorrectly before I figured it out…
thanks for clarifying the standing MG gunner. When you;ve been told to make it interesting then your mind tends to drift form examining the box contents closely 😉 My bad folks
I like the sdfk 250, a dinky version of the 251 , used in various roles such as arty observation vehicles or as a recon vehicle
Nice halftracks – what about unboxings of the the PSC offerings in the same scale?
they’re awesome, slightly more parts, but the additional box you can buy allows you to make 75mm kannon, flame thrower, mortar tracks it’s fantastically versatile. Size wise it’s close to identical to the old resin BF halftracks, I’m not sure about the new ones though.
There’s a good selection of stowage with them, only the crew let them down a little because they’re true scale rather then BF massive headed. That is however being rectified with a new style of sculpt of infantry, so they may amend them in future.
Great unboxing. Really enjoying these. Especially the knowledge about some of the equipment. I know some stuff about WW2 too, but most of the time there are some details I didn’t know of before.
G104, G105? Don’t know that designations. Google talks about planes and sherman taillights 😀
G104
V1-V5 – Tank, Medium, M3 Lee, variants
V6-V15 – Tank, Medium, M4 Sherman, variants
G105
