These are hardy and doughty warriors who come armed with all manner of hand weapons, shields and bows which can be used to bring down their enemies. This is a wonderfully Tolkienesque collection which is perfect for Fantasy tabletop adventures.
What do you think of the set?
Very nice looking unit.
They’re more Tolkienesque than Warhammer dwarfs, and I think that’s a good thing. A fine set.
These and the Elves look great!!! I’m tempted just to have them for rpgs and small scale games like Vanguard even if I’m not necessarily going rank & file with Oathmark or Kings of War… It should be noted that the designer of Oathmark has mentioned the lack of crossbows (and handguns) in his setting which is perhaps the only issue that I see for these in other games… although be interesting to see how maybe some spare crossbow arms from another brands dwarves might work on these fellows to fit your game du jour… Also, Oathmark does let you… Read more »

Between this and the heavier dwarf box they’d work a treat in Saga.
On Oathmark itself, am I right in thinking infantry and cavalry units are always five models wide? Just thinking I could base these (or perhaps more to the point, their elves) on 2ps and get movement trays from Warbases.
Reminiscent of Hobbit dwarves.
Very nice figs. Very old school fantasy. I like the fact that some people are making real fantasy dwarves ie no gunpowder.
