As well as making good miniatures for Gangs Of Rome, the components allow you to make great miniatures for a gladiatorial revolt like that of Spartacus. You could also use them for some arena-based games where blood soaks the sand. There are loads of components in this set for your Ancient Roman citizens.
What do you make of the Citizens Of Rome set?
Interesting review (although you didn’y manage to get any shots of the sprue in this time Gerry). I must admit I didn’t get into the first version of the game as the metal “gangs” Footsore released were all a bit tooled up for a Roman Street gang (with gladius, armour and shields etc). As you said the gangs needed to feature no armour, knives/daggers, clubs, knuckledusters (there was a spiked Roman version) and even rocks to throw rather than archers.
