Think I will stick with Dystopian wars
the ships look great but sound a bit of a Barr steward to build?
I play and collect War at sea, and had been looking forward to this until I saw the ships with those stupid bases on. Big pass
Quality looks horrible, each of the bigger US-Ships is warped. And gluing the tiny parts would not work for me I guess.
@Jerry: I really love the sound of your voice, quite like Bob Ross. But in this video it was hard to fall not asleep according to the tempo. 😉
I need to do a proper clean up and get a prime on them and see how they look, but gluing the small pieces on is a bloody nightmare
These might be more value for money if they came designed for (and boxed with) magnets for the guns. Battlefront manage to throw in the magnets with the helicopters and planes they sell.
The warping is not great either. Sure you can fix it (mostly) with hot and cold water treatment…but at that price why should I be expected to fix your product?
Yup at £15 for the larger ships it looks like a lot of work is needed to get them ready. I wonder if the warping is particularly due to Warlord decision with the thick bases (which makes them easier to cast and handle, but as bit of resin get larger then they become more prone to warping.
Strange thing is the GHQ WW2 Naval metal offerings (which are amazing), although at a smaller scale cost almost exactly the same price.
