After last year's test of a fantasy advent calendar game, Mantic Games have returned with two this time round. The Bar Room Brawl fantasy advent calendar is a game of fantasy tavern mayhem for 3-4 players while The Deep Space Pest Control sci-fi advent calendar is a game of thrilling sci-fi heroics for 1-2 players.
I love that they've not just decided to make the same game twice and that they have a different gamer count as well. It's a great way of having a quick game ready for Christmas Eve so it should help distract from the other pressies lingering under the tree and get the kids to do some hobbying in the run-up to Christmas as well if you fancy painting them.

bought the brawl last year. resin minis were pretty good. mantic plastic is a bit bendy and needed heat treatment on the furniture.
not sure about the space rats variant. depends on price. already have a lot of the space terrain from the ‘dungeon saga in space’ game.
