Unboxing: Warzone Resurrection Armoured Chasseurs
August 25, 2015 by dignity
Rob from Prodos Games has joined John once again for more super detailed Warzone: Resurrection miniatures. This time the guys take a look at an augmented and enhanced Armoured Chasseurs of the Cybertronic Mega-corporation.
Watch Enter The Warzone
These guys are armed with powerful weaponry such as the 'Nailgun' SMG and Under Barrel Shotgun. Not only that they also have Blink teleportation skills to help them move through cover but it can be risky.
How would you utilise the Blink ability?

definetely use them – unarmoured chasseurs are bit too soft and die too quick.
You know, these are really interesting… Streamlined, not as bulky as space marines, yet not as delicate as Infinity minis, but not lacking in details… And in resin, of course, which is just added bonus ! This comes from very nice posing, and utmost respect for the source material. Great job !
quick reference rules sheet Prodos .. it would be alot easier to get new players into the game
Not sure that would actually help or hurt…IMO the game has good base rules but has way too many special rules. The FAQ/Errata is eventually going to be as long as the rulebook itself, lol.
Big shoulder pads died with Dallas …. and they are from Prodos so 2 thumbs down from me.
Warmahordes and GW seem to like them still… Official word is it’s tacky, but apparently not that bad, lol…
Looks like there is enough detail beneath them that you can leave them off. Still not as bad as the Sigmarines.
Nice the legs look kind of tau to me.
Not sure if they changed their formula for the resin or not, but all the Imperials I have are rubbery. With the mold lines and work needed to clean these things, I ended up cutting myself numerous times (which I had not done in about ten years). I hate the material and the casting. Love Warzone, just not what Prodos is doing with it.
I have these and there are hardly any moldlines on them at all. Cleanest sculpts I ever had.
That said I didn’t enjoy painting them to be honest, they were too detailed with all the cables, pistons and what not. I switched to Imperial.
On a side note: I bought these and the everassur, the everassur seems to be a different miniature scale, it’s smaller. I’ve seen pictures from the Imperial line as well were minis seem to be different scales. Anyone any idea what’s going on?
It doesn’t seem “off” to me, even though the head is a bit small…
The only thing I can think of is that I know some “test” figures were made bigger in the beginning, but they were never sold, as far as I know.
I seriously doubt it could be a bad batch of resin. You know, maybe the minis are the same scale but not the same size, and that’s all… I find it odd that ALL soldiers in a force are exactly 6 feet tall myself.
I agree that it makes sense and would make it more realistic if minis are of different heights.
I’ll put in a link as I’m not sure how to post this.

To me this looks like different scales, the body and arms have a lot more bulk, but the legs and head are smaller.

This one also has 1 mini being significantly smaller. In the same thread there is a much smaller wolfbane next to the Imperial officer and I’ve also seen a picture of the imperial doomtrooper which has different proportions.
As I can’t see issues with Cybertronic, after all they are machines created in the lab, the link that you have posted is really weird. Maybe the mini that is completely out of scale is a Kickstarter model?
It IS unusually varied, but I don’t see any issue with it… It reminds me of old ranges, and how some of the first Warmachine figures weren’t all quite at the same eye-level. The elite gun mage cadre is still noticeably shorter than the gun mage unit, for example. I don’t know why it’s a problem, I really don’t. Maybe it’s not “regular” like CGI or like toy soldiers should be. I DOES bother people (and even me on a certain level), but I really don’t know why… Like proxies from other ranges that aren’t quite in the same style.… Read more »
As an owner of several KS figures its hard not to regret I didnt wait for retail
Fabulous sculpts… wonderful dark sci-fi.
So these are bigger, snazzier resculpts of these:

They do look better. One can lament backing the kickstarter and then these appear, but at the same time it would be worse for updates of this quality to never see the light of day. That and the kickstarter brought the project to life in the first place, so there is that to consider.
I really like these, any sign of when they are released for sale? I can only see the old ones on a certain online retailer I frequent.
New ones are available now. Might be worth contacting said retailer and telling them that they have been recently updated. There’s also a good chance they are just using the old stock imagery.
