Sad to see them go with 18mm rather than the more normal 15mm (the only other company with 18mm is AB Figures that I know of). 15mm or even 20mm would have been a better scale to go with, not only for using other figures but got getting things like buildings to use with the figures. Warlord did similar with their “Epic” range which they list as 15mm but are actually 12.5mm (Warlord decided to use the measurement to the top of the head rather than the standard eye level), which is rather misleading. At least the range is being described accurately. There’s a fair few 15mm ranges that are more 18mm in size rather than ‘true’ 15mm. Admittedly I’m more familiar with Napoleonics in this size, but I’m sure that the same is true with Dark Ages.
For example, the Wiglaf range scale pretty well to Forged in Battle’s 15mm range. There’s some comparison shots in this blog post

they also match Mark’s Barbarica range which are listed as 15mm
For 18mm they are really nice figures, if Gerry hadn’t mentioned scale I would have thought they were 28mm
Dan calls them travel 28s cause of the detail
fantastic quality figures for games.
Sooo tempted by these but I’ve already got Arthurians, Irish, Picts, Scots and Welsh in 28mm and really can’t justify a departure back into 15mm when I only got rid of it all a few years ago in an attempt to make life simpler. I guess I’ll wait to see how the range develops, the Vendels are a welcome development already, and then probably crack eventually.
