Unboxing A Song Of Ice & Fire: Night’s Watch Starter Set
December 11, 2018 by dignity
Dawn and Gianna get to sit down with an expansion to A Song Of Ice & Fire Tabletop Miniatures Game from CMON.
Somewhat paradoxically given their oaths, the Night's Watch forces can join the fray. If you haven't gotten enough of the direwolf Grey Wind from the Stark forces, then you will love that Ghost can torment the Lannisters (presumably) as well.
Jon Snow and Jeor Mormont round out the unit attachments for the Night's Watch and the starter set also come with terrain suited for skirmishes around the Wall.
What scenarios would you love to run with the Night's Watch starter set?

Great to see some more of Dawn and Gianna! The Nights Watch set looks great, been waiting to see more of this. I believe there’s a Wildling kit coming alongside this with an awesome Giant or two?
Thanks!
I really like these starter sets. I’ve been very disappointed with the pricing and marketing approach for this game since during the Kickstarter, but I feel like these were a big step in the right direction (particularly when they didn’t increase the price to $100). With online discounts you can get a near-medium sized army, with characters, for $72, which is a really nice price point to get somebody playing. I still doubt this game will become a financial “success” in line with FFG’s Armada or Legion, but these starters were still an excellent idea.
Where have you guys been?
Seems an age since you’ve been on the site
We have missed you all too! Life has caught up with us and demanded more of our time. We are looking forward to getting more content out.
fyi, BoardGameSurplus has the Stark vs. Lannister Starter Set for $80!

Love that they made it a starterset.
My brother did the kickstarter with 2 armies in it. Now I can pick up this starter set and just start playing.
The extra units by them selves are a lot more pricy compared to the starter set. Probably get 2 starter sets if I want to expand the army.
Love the design of all the armies. They look great.
