John has a look at another of his favourite sets from the Chaos Space Marines. The Possessed Marines are truly lovely models. They have great detail and look fantastic once painted up to all look individual.

Pocessed? watch out that kind of spelling mistakes 😛
Anyway, John you are a really good salesman because you just made me want to buy one of that kit hahaha
Those two winged backpacks would make great jump packs for Raptors. A shame there’s only two in each box. I guess that’s what bitz websites were created for 🙂
i would love to use this as a converson set to change normal chaos marines 🙂 and the wings could be used for chaos rapers 😛
I love this Sprue, i prefer the using the Wings for my Raptors instead of using the Raptor models which i don’t really like.
Yeah this is one of my favourite Chaos sets, the wings are great.
And, gofastastripe, that’s a really unfortunate typo at the end of that comment….
whoopsie funny typo hehehehe….
It really does seem like picking up a box of these and a few basic plastic marines to get full use out of all the parts is the way to go. Possibly you’d want to do a little sculpting on the basic torsos and legs to get them looking as nice as those that come in this set but when you are getting something like 12 different arms and 7 backpacks not point wasting them. I really do love the backpacks, the winged ones are just fantastic though maybe would need a little work reshaping some if you were going… Read more »
after seeing this video i’m going to have an even harder time waiting for my battleforce to arrive xD these models are amazingly awesome looking!
break out your glues and have some funs tehehe, cool vid might have to get some’ve these to go with my zerkers, oh and i saw you did the noises on warhammer rejecgts on miniwargaming thats funny 🙂
Mmm spikey
has to be my favourite chaos kit!
C:SM have several fantastic plastickits that due to the codex in almost never used. Both the terminator lord and this are some of the best kits available from GW. Hope they get some love in a the next codex.
thanks John now i know where to get my 13th chapter bits now for my Spacewolfs….
I think this is perhaps the best kit for kit bashing in the 40k range.
Those wings are just fine and dandy for tyranid warrior wings if your not a forgeworld or other fan…
You can make so much out of these thing!
i think i speak for the rest of us when i say PLZ DO A PAINTING VID ON THESE GUYS!
I’ve been hearing… Stuff about the possessed, that they are…. Well… Fodder. Buuuuuuuut since they come also in the Battleforce, I think Imma gona use them as sparebits and to customize my mahreens. And have my Sorceror some wings sticking outta his back.
Of course there’s always various other things you could use them for if Possessed have crap rules.
There are many good rules sets for skirmish, platoon and army sized scifi battles that are pretty flexible so you could give them any rules you wanted. I could see them working well as some kind of escaped military genetic test subjects in a scifi horror skirmish game or you could use them as a different unit in the Chaos army.
No need to let a little poor army book writing stop you from playing with a nice model.
Set has a few more pieces than I realised. I don’t understand the need for the “construction manual” thing and I love the way that you nonchalantly threw it away. As should be done 😀 I think this set is great for looking at as a bitz pack as well. You get enough parts to select one piece and put onto a normal marine that you can kit out at least two squads with the pieces (and the left over pieces from thos two squads can make a bunch of extra guys without any of those pieces). You can do… Read more »
It’s a shame that there isn’t themed sets of these. I’d love to have a nurgle possessed Marine pack. For me, there just isn’t enough ‘Nurgly’ bits in the pack to make me buy it.
Thank goodness there are bitz sites!!
cool models, tough lm not a chaos player i’d really like to see them finished.
I wish the awesomeness of the kit was matched by their rules. Sure they aren’t bad, they’re aren’t good either.
I love these guys. There are a couple of things to keep in mind, though. Wings are kinda hard to come by unless you want to shell out for individual bits, and possessed can’t be jump infantry, so I suggest not using them on the possessed. He was right about tossing out the instruction manual, but the leg joins are paired. Not that you couldn’t do some filing down and what have you, but just a heads up anyway.
