August 26, 2010 by johnlyons
Flames of War Early War is upon us and boy! do Battlefront have some serious box sets to get your teeth into! This one is the German Light Panzer Company, thats TWENTY TWO tanks for you to create a working army from and start showing what Blitzkrieg was all about. In this video we also introduce a new face for our coverage of Flames of War, meet Karl who will heklp guide you through the game dimensions of FoW while John takes us down historical lane!
I don’t wanna moan, but it’s ‘Leichte Panzer Kompanie’. (click on the speaker to hear: http://translate.google.de/?hl=de&tab=wT#en|de|leichte%20Panzer%20Kompanie )
A great video over all, really looking forward to the new stuff.
Stephan
Another good FoW video guys, hope you can cover all the Blitzkrieg releases.
Excellent video. This set is another must-buy for me. Blitzkreig really looks good so far.
nice FoW video keep em coming ^^
John I couldn’t find a better place to give you this message. Would you please do more on the outstanding bolt action range of 25mm WW2 stuff.
The Bolt Action range is actually 28mm. But I would 2nd the suggestion thta more 28mm WWII stuff should be covered.
But I am also liking the extra love that FoW is getting.
The big question is do I get some early war FoW stuff (and I still have more late war gear that I want) or keep expanding my 28mm Waffen-SS.
Gotta love the boxy shapes of those tanks.
Looks schnaxy…!
Licht Panzers… mhm…. “We need more Laz0rs. Call for the Licht Panzers!” XD
Is it actually written on the box? I read the rulebook once, and there where some funny false friends too. =)
My absolute favourite is still “Steilgranate” (steep grenade) instead of “Stielgranate” (stickgrenade) somewhere in the first Flames of War rulebook.
Well some typos happen, tho ive gotten my hands on the kit and started to pain my Panzers, got to love how nicely the bits fir exept for the rain duct thing on the side of the panzerbefhlswagen (i think it was how it was spelled) its the comand veicles, i had to find a picture of one to figgure out how it was suposed to fit to the set, but when that was done it all loooked good.
xD It’s nice to see one of you trying to speak German, but to be honest your pronunciation is quite good.^^
P.S.: Am I on drugs or wasn’t this vid. already released a couple weeks ago? oO
Anyway nice vid. and just a small question, does anyone of you two happen to play World of Tanks? ^^
“P.S.: Am I on drugs or wasn’t this vid. already released a couple weeks ago?”
Yeah it was but I was playing the Ruse video game at the weekend and it put me in the mood for highlighting some WWII stuff on the site 🙂
Is the game any good?
Im playing the 1st dawn of war and think its excellent.
@gazmarinko DOW was great. This is good too I only got an hour or so on it on my 360 but I was liking it allot. I love the way you can zoom in and out and it changes from scaled models to counters etc. when viewing the whole battle as it unfolds. Hope to get some more time on it soon.
It really did put me in the mood for Flames of War stuff.
@t0pfpflanze – I’m also having a groundhog day moment with this vid…
You should check out world of tanks, new pc game
Another great video.Keep them coming.
