Darrel, every time you put together a metal model, it will never be as bad as a thunderfire cannon.
I like Canis. I like the model and although I don’t play Space Wolves myself he does offer a great chance to do a heavy Wolf Themed army that would be great fun. You could fit 75 Wolves, Canis & a unit of Thunderwolves in 1,000pts easy. He’s certainly not bad for his points.
Although i like Canis (he costs 185 points btw), I would rather pay more points for the following: Wolf Lord in Runic Armour with Storm Shield and Wolf Claw or Frost weapon on thunderwolf mount with saga of the bear. With a 2+ armour save and 3+ invulnerable save plus eternal warrior he is infinately more surviveable than Canis will ever be. He comes around 250points and is totally awesome.
