It would be very scary in a vulkan army, especially if you knew that two marines called Stanley and Oliver were hunting you down. Two seperate twin linked weapons… ouch. Pity they are sooo fragile
This is a much better kit than the older one with its metal flamer or assault cannon at the front, puling down on the pointless ball joint thing they came with, and you can build a squadron of them in the time it took to get the flash off the 2nd edition all metal one.
Landspeeders are great I have 2 squadrons of 3. I’ve never used Land Speeders myself, preferring Attack Bikes as they are less fragile and a lot easier to use. I’ve always liked the Landspeeder models mind, so would be tempted to get them at some stage.
But what about land speeders strorm are they any good ?
They have the Scout special rule, and can transport up to 5 Scouts and Scouts only. Thats a basic difference.
hello oliver and stanley
Dark Angels can get a Land Speeder with Typhoon Missile Launchers and a Multi-Melta for 70 points (much cheaper than Vanilla Marines). Dark Angels can also take up to 5 Land Speeders in a unit! Add a Bike squad with free 12″ Scout move and a free Teleport Homer – drop your Terminators anywhere you need them, spot-on!
I have three and play them. My favorite combos are : Double meltas work well as “suicide sleds”. Double flamers for mobile anti-troop. Typhoon and bolter for back line fire support.
