Ok time for an un-boxing, today Darrell is revisiting the Space Marine Biker to have a quick look over it and show us the finished product. We may have coverd this before but we are updating some of the older videos to match the current format for un-boxing's.

If the bikes toook a plasma gun, I take it that as its mounted on a vehicle the “gets hot” rule dosen’t count?

Nope, The marine on the bike swaps his bolt pistol for the plasma gun and the bike keeps the twin-linked bolter. Which is good because you can choose the either fire the plasma gun or the bolter depending on what your shooting at. FYI to anyone looking to start a biker based army, the Dark Angels Ravenwing boxed set is perfect. It comes with the basic 6 biker, 1 attack bike, and 1 speeder sprues; then the Dark Angels iconography are just upgrade sprues you can choose to use or not use instead of the basic bike bits. We have one of those Dark Angels Ravenwing sets at the studio. With the advent of the new FAQ, maybe Darrell will have a look at that soon.

Get used to it… Darrell and Justin have been drafted for some unboxing duty. 🙂
We want to try to update all our unboxing videos, to reflect any new tactics or updates there may have been.
We also want to include a bit of a tactical discussion and shots of a built version of the model. Which means some of the old models (especially the models that appear in a lot of tips videos) will be filmed again… a new vid starring one of the lads! 😉

i guess if you want the other weapons you could use with a little conversion work take the special weapon from the tactical squad or your reserve bits.

I know these bikes are fairly simple to put together, but I was wondering if on your Unboxing videos you could have a difficulty rating system for model assembly, particularly for large models or ones with lots of smaller pieces? I think that’d be really useful.
